Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?The EMEA Security System Administrator must be a team player with troubleshooting, communication and collaboration skills and the ability to effectively manage the execution of multiple concurrent projects.Highly computer literate with experience working with software packages such as: Integrated security systems, Access Control Systems, Alarm Monitoring Systems, Building Management Systems, Fire and Intruder Alarm Systems, CCTV and Microsoft Office suite.Certification in Access Control Systems or Video Surveillance systems is preferred Other Computer software related certifications like Windows Server, Linux, SQL Server, SQL Scripting are a plus CCURE Certification is required within 90 days of hire PMP Certification and Technical Project Management experience (preferred) The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?Day to day service Remote installation and service Project Management and programming support for PACS (CCURE, VMS and AI) systems Perform system programing in CCURE, CCTV and other Security Systems Knowledge/Certification of Enterprise Network Architecture Maintain the access control systems, managing smaller installations and/or overseeing systems service as needed Provide support to the Global PS&R and Workplace managers on systems related tasks Work with the PS&R and Workplace managers on systems design, schematic drawings, and scopes of work Maintain records and track all projects using internal tools such as Jira and Confluence Maintain asset inventory Provide support to field teams for systems programming and testing Assist in creating, modifying, and maintaining the department badge documents Process any incoming badge requests and coordinate with the global PSOC’s and field offices Perform audits to ensure all access control data is correct Run monthly access reports for area managers and as directed by VMware Security Management Add or remove access to restricted areas as requested by VMware Security Management Attend to service request tickets, programming, projects for the GEO Managers List of tasks/projects will be generated and agreed on ahead of time by VMware and selected vendor account team collectively Generate reoccurring PM schedules for EMEA sites Confirm costs and open service calls for systems issues System Applications Technicians will assist in basic system additions and removals Technicians will perform small scale site surveys for new jobs to assist the engineering team Work with Workplace on new projects to ensure physical security systems are following VMware’s standards Monitor the health and function of Physical Access Control systems including video systems, access control systems and all the device parts and pieces Maintain operational technology used by the business Programming Technicians will complete system programming and coordinate/troubleshoot with manufacturers as required. This will include filling out programming sheets and interfacing with VMware IT regarding network infrastructure, switch/port assignments, IP addressing and network security protocols. Perform basic programming in all physical security systems technology for system optimization Perform Systems patches and firmware updates on a scheduled and planned basis Create and own Data Visualization dashboards for the business What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like?Reporting to the Physical Security Systems Manager, the Physical Security System Administrator provides technical administration support to the physical security and resiliency programs and policies by managing all security system design, installations, maintenance of access control, CCTV functions across VMware’s network of facilities.
