As an engineer for VMware Cloud UI you will work with top UI talent, contribute to VMware's multi-cloud strategy, and deliver value to our customers through the VMware Cloud Console.Success in the Role: What are the performance goals over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?Within your first month:Start building relationships with our partners in Product Management, User Experience, Backend Engineering, and Information ExperienceLearn about our Multi-cloud strategy and how we deliver it through the VMware Cloud ConsoleUnderstand existing processes and the motivations that put them into placeComplete training to help you deliver secure, accessible, and well designed UISetup your development environment, merge code, and deploy your changes to productionWithin your first three months:Work with tech leads to deliver new functionality on the VMware Cloud ConsoleBecome proficient with our CI/CD process which includes automated build, testing, and deploymentEstablish your own career plan to ensure continued growth within VMwareWithin your first six months:Take ownership of one or more features, coordinating between stakeholders and taking the feature through design, implementation, and enablement.Provide technical solutions to help our application scale and to improve development efficiency.Mentor junior developers and new team membersThe Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?As a UI developer on the team, you will:Develop new UI features using Typescript, Angular, RxJS, GraphQL, and ClarityReview and provide feedback on UX designsDeliver your features with test coverage to ensure we keep the quality highPerform code reviews for your fellow team membersDrive innovations to improve developer efficiency and product evolutionWhat is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like?The Cloud Solutions organization has leadership in both product and engineering functions. Led by the team that built VMware Cloud on AWS and evolved it into a Multi-Cloud solution. You will report to Senior Management for VMware Cloud UI. We are a small team with a passion for UI. We're highly collaborative and deliver as a team while still having opportunities for ownership and personal growth.Where is this role located? This role allows some flexibility in location. While your immediate team members will primarily be based out of Sofia, Bulgaria, we are open to candidates from other cities as well.
