It is important that the subcontracting components of the professional services business are designed, executed, managed, and tracked with the utmost efficiency and precision.Therefore, VMware is seeking a subcontracting manager to manage both tactical and strategic elements of the VMWare EMEA PSO subcontracting.Success in the Role:What are the performance outcomes you will work toward completing?The PS Subcontracting manager will work with his solution leads, team and peers to achieve.success in below areas.• Subcontracting delivery readiness• Delivery efficiency and quality• Resourcing timeliness and optimal delivery mix (own team, remote teams & partners)A critical success factor of this role requires the successful candidate to proactively partner with key stakeholders, both internally and externally across EMEA, and also global to ensure cross geo compliance.This role also requires the ability to take ownership of the current process and related policies, identify gaps, inefficiencies, and desired improvements.Making and executing against agreed recommendations for change.This role will be part of the PSO Delivery Operations team, and will report into the PSO Delivery Operations Senior ManagerThe Work: What type of work will you be doing?• Work with the resource management leadership or the practice teams to translate solution (delivery) trends into capacity planning and quality actions, like skills expansion, hiring, partner requirements and collaboration with our India and Sofia remote delivery centres.• As a people manager stay close to your team and support them in there desired technical and professional progression. Drive a culture of inclusion, belonging & fun• Support resource management with complex resourcing requests or escalations.• With your leads and peers like the practices monitor delivery quality and drive continues improvement initiatives• With your colleagues from the management team, drive the cultural change from transactions to subscription & consumption• Tactical management of the day-to-day operations of the EMEA PSO subcontracting, this includes but is not limited to:o Relationship management with strategic sourcingo PO portal management and escalationso Partner onboarding management, negotiations and escalationso Partnering with shared service center in Bangaloreo Ensuring that the subcontractors have the appropriate tools to deliver- RMOo Escalation pointo Accurate accrual management in partnership with Finance• Strategic approach to the management of the subcontracting processes including review of existing process, focus should include, but not be limited to:o Documented work instruction and process flows for all discrete areaso Ensure a robust process is in place and being followed to ensure complianceo Training and enablement for field and operations-Not relevant apart from ECMS• Project Management of all EMEA subcontracting improvement initiatives• Collaborate with global subcontracting teams by being an active member of the subcontracting COE• Establish and maintain strong relationships with all of the teams that interface with this function• Define and track metrics related to the subcontractor deliveryWhat is the leadership like for this role?What is the structure and culture of the team like?Our Team influences the success of each VMware implementation.
