We do it with a spirit of inclusion and trust acting as 'One VMware' to help our customers win.Success in the Role: what are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?Timely, accurate development and execution of a fiscal-year (half-by-half) demand strategy, model plan and resource allocation (capital and IP) that has effectively supported the sales coverage model against the business go-to-market strategy in Japan to deliver business impact.Relatively accurate forecasts, measurement, analysis and reporting on the business impact of demand marketing activities in terms of KPIs aligned to the sales deployment models (e.g. direct and partner sales pipeline, sales cycle length, targeted account engagement and growth, revenue growth, customer retention, customer value and advocacy).Attainment of agreed targets across all key metrics (direct and partner sourced pipeline, accelerated opportunities, customer/prospect engagement and activation).Positive anecdotal feedback from local leadership, Pan-Geo and marketing leadership team members supported with/by qualitative and quantitative data-based insights.The work: What type of work with you be doing? What assignment, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?Collaborating with multiple local, pan-geo and global stakeholders to design and determine the fiscal-year demand strategy (per above).Interlocking with field sales leaders to ensure on-going agreement on priorities, quick adjustments to changing market conditions and emerging opportunities; attend regular sales deal reviews, pipeline reviews and regional quarterly business reviews (sales and marketing).Collaborating with Global Demand and Pan-Geo marketing team leaders and team members on the common campaign framework that reflects the needs of the Japan market itself, and within the broader APJ business.Helping field marketing managers who specialize in defined demand marketing, account-based marketing, partner marketing or customer marketing design, execute programs that deliver measurable results in support of current-year sales objectives.Working across multiple teams, sourcing and analysing multi-variate data inputs, to forecast, measure, analyze and report on business impact of demand marketing (per above)Development and authorship of presentations to senior management with compelling, results-driven business plans, complete with market assessments, partner strategies and competitor analysis.Briefing and reviewing website resources and content creators (e.g. messaging, assets, forms) to ensure they’re optimised to deliver a relevant and engaging web experience for Indian target audiences; ensure local websites comply with local data privacy regulations.Work with marketing, sales and partner operations to define an end-to-end revenue management process and service-level agreements (SLAs) – e.g. for lead definitions, lead capture, lead acceptance/rejection/disqualification reasons, nurture routing – for the local market that align with global and/or regional requirements; provide information on related technology requirements; regularly review and assess these processes and diagnose issues that need to be addressedCreating and supporting a culture of segmentation and testing to continuously enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of field marketing programs developed for each sales deployment model.Evaluate, select and manage vendors in partnership with Global sourcing and APJ marketing business operations, that contribute to local field marketing programs – e.g. demand marketing agencies.Ensure all field marketing programs comply with local data privacy regulations.Actively and passively recruit field marketing managers and support the recruitment process for other regional marketers who support one or more of the relevant sales deployment models.What is the leadership like for the role?
