If you are passionate to work on latest technology & Solution stack, enjoy working on spectrum of Products, like fast-paced environments, then join us & be the part of this game changing team.Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?Within 30 days of joining, you will become familiar with the ESXi Storage stack, understand the deployment aspects and Interop between different products, gain hands-on experience with product deployment and operations, start to learn partners’ environment and the integration requirements etcWithin 60 days, you will get familiar with test frameworks, release cycles, bug / review tools, troubleshoot test failures, triage bugs, fix test automation issuesWithin 90 to 180 days, Work on End to End Test strategy, Test plan, Test design for major features or bugfix, independently represent VMware and work with different Product teams, collaborate with product management, product development and architects and collaborating and establishing a good relationship with design partners.Within 6 to 9 months, Deliver a high quality release, get familiar with end to end customer use cases for VMware Solutions in cloud, multi-cloud and hybrid cloud scenarios and be the go-to person with SME for interop and partner integration with VMware stack and solutions.The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?In this role, you will work independently as well with a team of highly motivated and talented engineers. You work in a fast-paced Agile development and delivery environment and demonstrate autonomy in conforming to meeting the OKR's , Quarterly commitments and Sprint goals while adhering to team values.· Develop test methodology (Test Strategy, Test Plan, Test Design) to test the features end-to-end in a SDDC (Software Defined Data Center) environment.· Participate in Interop test scoping, test plan development & reviews. You are expected to understand the complex interactions across different products in the SDDC Stack.· Test Automation framework and feature development, Triaging: Build and enable the team to build stable, low maintainable test automation by developing a solid framework and feature tests. · Work smartly to Identify & develop continuous Automation for E2E integration in the CI/CD Pipelines.· Analyze failures, triaging, file defects, track the issues for resolution, verification and documentation.· Own product areas and collaborate with stakeholders - product management, development, partner engineering, solutions, technical writers, program management to support them and ensure delivery of high-quality releases to our customers and partners as per product release schedule.· Improve Engineering Efficiency: Be a major contributor in building and strengthening test automation for enhancing engineering productivity and regularly monitor & enhance test coverage. Reduce test cycle times, defect escapes and increase code coverage.· Ability to troubleshoot issues across the Product, Test infra and Pipeline involving a combination of Products like vSphere ESXi & VC, NSX, Aria Suite, etc…The following competencies would help you in quickly ramping up on the project and building a great career at VMware in this project -· Hands-on experience in validation and debuggability on at least one of the Storage protocols [SCSI, NVMe, FC, iSCSI, NFS, FCoE].· Strong programming skills and several years of test automation framework development experience using Java or Python· Good soft skills, documentation skills and experience working with partners and team across geographies· Hands-on product development experience in the storage domain and Java TestNG framework is a plus· 8 - 12 Years of experience in an equivalent role.What is the leadership like for this role?
