VMware EUC担当のTechnical Support EngineerになるメリットTechnical Support Engineer (TSE) はお客様から寄せられる様々なお問い合わせ事象を解決に導きます。問題の解決にあたっては各事象の優先度に合ったタイムリーな対応が求められます。ときにはチームメンバーに意見を求め、また必要に応じて開発部門にも支援を求めながら、TSE は主体的に問題解決に取り組みます。我々はより質の高いサポートサービスの提供を目指して改善の努力を続けます。自ら学びたいという志向をお持ちであれば、学びの機会に恵まれた職場環境であると言えるでしょう。問題解決の取り組みを通じて幅広く知識を蓄え、技術力を高め、また対応力を磨き、自らの成長を実感できることでしょう。２．Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing? 6か月から1年で任されるようになる業務EUC (Horizon, VDI) 製品のほとんどは vSphere 基盤の上で稼働しています。そのため vSphere 基盤の理解が前提として必要となります。各自のご経験などにより準備に必要となる期間は異なりますが、vSphere 基盤への理解を深めた後に EUC 製品のトレーニングへと進んでいただきます。各種のトレーニングを消化しながら、当社の vSphere資格を、その次には EUC 資格にもチャレンジいただきます。次のステップでは過去の障害事例を題材としたより実践的なトレーニングへと進みます。各種トレーニングを消化できた段階で、実際のお客様から寄せられるサポートリクエストの対応を徐々にスタートしていきます。３．The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?【業務内容】・メールや電話を使ったお客様とのコミュニケーション・ログ解析、トラブルシューティング、社内検証環境での再現確認・顧客や開発部門と Zoomセッションによるライブでの調査および解析・ナレッジベースの作成・社内の関連部門との連携・海外の開發部門エンジニアとのコミュニケーション・当番制による夜間休日のオンコール対応・各技術分野の知識オペレーティングシステム(Windows, Linux/UNIX)ネットワーキング(TCP/IP, Switch, Router, Firewall, Load Balancer)ストレージ(FC, iSCSI, NFS)、ハードウェアWindows 環境(Active Directory)Java Web Applicationデータベース(SQL,アーキテクチャ)プログラミング言語(C,C++,Java,Python,アセンブラ)、スクリプト言語４．What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like?このポジションの採用責任者のプロフィールや組織構成、チームの雰囲気について・Hiring Managerのプロフィール日本企業、開発系ベンチャー、外資系企業などでIT経験を積んだ後、テクニカルサポート業務に従事しています。VMware には2009年に TSE として入社してvSphere基盤チームで経験を積んだのち、2020年EUCチームに移ってきました。このチームでは、より質の高いサポートサービスの提供を目指して、チームとメンバーの成長に期待し、より多くの学びの機会が内外から得られる環境となるよう取り組んでいます。・組織構成EUCチームは大きく分けてフロントラインチームとバックラインチームの2つのチームで構成されています。今回募集しているバックラインチームでは、フロントラインチームでトリアージされた上で解決が困難な事象や、製品側の不具合の可能性があり開発部門での調査が必要な事象、また高度な解析技術が求められる事象などを担当します。また有償の上位サービスオプションをご購入いただいているお客様へのダイレクトサポートもバックラインチームが担当します。バックラインチームのメンバーには新しいメンバーのメンターをお任せするなど教育的、指導的な役割を担っていただくこともあり、チーム全体の成長を支えることも重要な一面です。メンバーがお客様のお問い合わせを対応していく中で、解決が困難な問題に遭遇した場合や、正しい方向に進んでいるのか、方針に迷う場合など、状況に応じて適切なアドバイスを行い、問題がより早く解決に向かうように支援します。・チームの雰囲気IT業界でのサポート業務経験の長いメンバーは多いのですが、それぞれが経験されてきた領域や業種は様々です。また VMware で当時新入社員として採用されたメンバーも経験を積んでバックラインチームのメンバーとして活躍しています。リモートワークが定着している現在はSlack などのコミュニケーションツールを大いに活用して日々の対応に役立てています。VDI を支える製品のサポート部隊とあってWindows に精通しているメンバーばかりが集まっている印象を持たれるかもしれませんが、実はWindows を本格的に学んだのはVMwareに入ってからだ、というメンバーもいます。様々なバックグラウンドでお互いに刺激を受け高め合っていける、そんなチームでありたいと考えています。Where is this role located?
