Search JobsJob DescriptionWhy will you enjoy this new opportunity?vSphere, a VMware offering in exponential growth mode, is a hybrid cloud infrastructure platform to run modern workloads, from mission-critical workflows to containerized apps, in the private cloud, public cloud, and at the edge. vSphere integrates compute, storage, networking, security, and cloud management services, including support for modern composable hardware, to create a consistent, and dynamically configurable, infrastructure. We need someone who can collaborate with Solution Architects and existing engineering teams to develop solutions and test to deliver high quality software. This opportunity is to join the vCenter Connectivity Engineering team and work on the various edge and mesh services architecture. We have ambitious goals to expand vSphere connectivity infrastructure in a way that makes it simpler to run these modern workloads which are distributed, hybrid, multi- cloud and elastic.  That involves turning these full stack infrastructure clusters, hardware(s) plus software(s), into programmable, intelligent, intent-driven software endpoints. deployed, secured, and easily managed at scale, like a software CI/CD pipeline.  The infrastructure also reconfigures or maintains itself on ongoing basis, to support these hybrid applications’ dynamic, elastic needs. Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?There are three areas of focus for the team and your work over the next 3-9 months: Design, Develop and Execute. You will be expected to produce solutions design, review with solutions architects, and develop As a member of Connectivity Engineering team, execute using the solutions developed to deliver high quality software You will be regularly evaluated on the quality of the solution you create and the code you write to ensure continued advancement of your technical skills in an environment that looks to expand them The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?Develop and maintain frameworks that delivers on the team’s objectives primarily in C++ and PythonAutomate and Integration new customer use cases in the current Framework Define test strategies, planning activities and execute customer use cases in scale environment Closely collaborate with PMs and Solution architect teams to understand the new customer use case requirements Work closely with developers to resolve issues, reproduce bugs & perform RCCAs. What is the leadership like for this role?
