Our team acquires a deep understanding of the customers’ business, its strategic goals and the specific requirements for managing a heterogeneous, hybrid cloud. As a WWCC CoE Practice Architect, the incumbents in this position have the crucial role and responsibility to drive innovation, establish best practices, standardize offerings, enable project teams, and preach execution excellence in a certain technology domain as part of project, team, focus group, or organizational strategic initiative.Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?A typical day may include: - You'll collaborate with project teams on larger projects. You'll guide and advise Consulting Architects and review project designs- You'll create/innovate unified frameworks, integration and reusable components- You'll proactive communicate with external stakeholders (like VMware R&D teams and product leadership, VMware field Architects, etc.)- You'll research new technologies and provide technical guidance to management and create reference architecture/solutions- You'll document standard methodologies in developing and deploying VMware solutions, and feed them into our knowledge base for reuse by the team, customers and partners.- You'll write code and script to produce and refine custom solutions, focusing on test driven development and Agile methodologies as well as deploy and configure products.- You'll keep up to date with technology area specific trends, VMware product portfolio and initiatives- You'll support WWCC CoE business expansion initiatives- You'll mentor and/or coach team members to help them excelThe Work: What type of work will you be doing? EUC provides support for a broad range of client devices including traditional PC, tablet, smartphone, or thin-client terminal device.
