We’re looking for an CloudOps engineer who will help take the existing team to the next level by providing optimal and best-in-class solutions, with which to manage, optimize, and secure our cloud environments. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a high-performing team and gain experience with cutting-edge tools and technologies.Success in the Role: What are the performance goals over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?Within your first 6 monthsYou will become familiar with the main areas of IT Security and VMware Carbon Black products.You will leverage programming and CloudOps skills to design, manage, govern and secure our AWS, Azure, and GCP environmentsYou will research, evaluate, and select new tools, and apply these toolsYou will develop, enhance, and redesign deployment scripts and other aspects of the IaC toolchainYou will maintain, manage, and improve a complex, highly secure cloud environmentYou will collaborate across product engineering teams to provide best in class cloud solutionsAfter 6 months+You will be responsible for architecting and delivering optimal and best-in-class solutions, with which to manage, govern and secure our AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.You will be regularly evaluated on the quality of the product you create and contribute to. To ensure the continued advancement of your technical skills in an environment that looks to expand them.You will be expected to work with and contribute to Clouds infrastructure, and all your deliverables must align with the group’s development and deployment standards.What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?As a new member of the Production Engineering Team, you will:Work with the team and product management to review and refine delivery requirementsWrite technical design documents and hold reviewsParticipate in all team scrum ceremoniesDevelop and maintain solutions that deliver on the team’s objectives primarilyAutomate infrastructure management using Terraform, Python, Ansible, Pulumi, etc.Architect and apply cloud governance solutions across our AWS, GCP, and Azure accounts.Participate in our on-call rotation, providing operational supportCommunicate with internal consumers of the team’s solutions and gather requirements and facilitate the adoption of your solutionsWhere is this role located?
