Our customers look to us to transform the SASE landscape and help them operate their services with quality.Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?You will be responsible for automating, building, and maintain customer services for SASE.Within 30 days of employment, you will become competent with VMware SASE’s deployment and high-level design.You will work closely with Engineering, TPM, Product Management, Support and other SREs to provide day-to-day operations for the SASE service portfolio.Within 90 days of employment, you will be providing high level overview in your area of learning and pillar ownership. You will be automating the days SRE workload and providing code reviews to your peers. You will also be fixing issues in code with troubleshooting and debuggability.Within 180 days you will be able to work on field escalations and help out on a rotation basis with on-call support.Within 360 days along with above, you will be reviewing new feature request requirement and putting together functional and design specifications in SASE areas. You will be a self-starter and lean into projects until the best solution is found.The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis? Manage and maintain the VMware SASE solution to maintain SLA and ensure service availability. Monitor key performance indicators of the global infrastructure Fault handling and escalation: Identify and respond to faults on systems and networks, liaising with 3rd party suppliers, handling escalation through to resolution Respond to service incidents and publish root cause analysis (RCA) reports Service maintenance: Deploy and upgrade service components and patches Assist with customer provisioning where infrastructure items need to be provided Collaborate with Technical Operations Engineers to operate and automate the global infrastructureProvide support to escalations from customer support and other technical teams Participate in on call schedules to ensure around the clock monitoring and L2 escalation coverage.Automate day1, operate day2.You will work with orchestration tools such as Salt, Ansible or Terraform.You will get hands-on experience with Cloud providers like AWS, Azure, etc.Bring you experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub etc. to automate day2 Ops.What is the leadership like for this role?
