The job is challenging and at the same time very rewarding, with a very large customer base and one that is growing very rapidly with the increase in demand generated as customers address the remote-working needs of their employees.Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?* Within 30 days become familiar with Horizon Enterprise product and specialise in Agent and Client components* Understand product code for owned components* Actively work on Customer Escalations from Engineering perspective* Work on resolving Customer defects for maintenance releases* Live Debug / Troubleshoot Customer issues be relating issue to code flows and quickly come out with resolution* Perform RCCA/5Why Analysis for Customer issue and thereby contribute to Product Scalability/Performance/Resiliency improvements* Reduce Mean Time to De-Escalate Critical Customer Issues* Work on Serviceability projectsThe Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?* Work on customer escalations and customer found defects across multiple engineering teams* Live Debugging of Customer issues from engineering perspective* Find root cause of problem, recommend possible workaround and come out with fix on product code* Work towards Improving Scalability/Performance/Resiliency of product* Work on product sustenance releasesWhat is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like?The hiring manager for this role, is Engineering Manager, in EUC Engineering, responsible for customer engineering for Horizon Enterprise (On-prem). The team is responsible for delivering maintenance (ESB) releases and handling customer issues that get escalated to engineering. Teams are spread across Geos, like Bengaluru, Palo AltoWhere is this role located?Flexible: The role is considered flexible and will be a mix of working from a local VMware office and remote depending on your preferences and the arrangements determined with your future manager.
