CSDP is an exciting area of investment for VMware and is a crucial part of VMware’s multi-cloud strategy.CSDP is a part of VMware’s Cloud Infrastructure Business Group (CIBG). VMware's Cloud Infrastructure Business Group (CIBG) is the largest business group at VMware and includes both established flagship product lines and many new fast-growing cloud-based services. Our solutions are the cornerstone for over 500K companies, large and small, in their digital transformation, app modernization, and cloud journey.This role requires defining and executing the product and go-to-market strategy for VMware's storage and data protection products, working closely with cross-functional teams, including development, marketing, sales, and customer support, to ensure successful product delivery and customer satisfaction. The Product Manager is responsible for understanding customer needs, market trends, and competitive products in the storage and data protection domain, to develop and execute product strategies that drive business growth and market leadership.Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12  months you will work toward completing? Drive key outbound activities for Storage and Data Protection products.Drive product revenue and market share growth through effective outbound product management strategies and tactics.Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for VMware's storage and data protection products, including product positioning, messaging, pricing, and launch activities, to meet the business goals.Develop and execute successful product launches that achieve or exceed revenue and adoption goals.Establish strong relationships with key customers, partners, and industry influencers to drive awareness and advocacy for our products.Identify and enable various routes to market working with cross-functional teams.Understand the landscape and partner with marketing and business analytics teams and help define programs to accelerate key areas of sales, adoption, and renewals.Develop new commercial models and business constructs aligned with the company's transformation to subscription and servicesDevelop effective pricing strategies that align with customer value and drive revenue growth.Align organizational approach to partner needs, create pricing, packaging, and positioning that will ensure the success of the VMware offerings and maximize the revenue for both companies.Be internal and external champion of the product.Own and drive the product strategy, roadmap, and definition for VMC FlexStorage to meet customer needs and VMware’s business goals.Gather a deep understanding of the business and build the product strategy aligned with the overall business objectives.Analyze market opportunities and work closely with partners, customers, Product Marketing, Sales, Support to help define product roadmap and requirements.Build and have an up-to-date roadmap to execute the product strategy and meet the business objectives.Drive the product direction and new features.Work with finance and leadership on business justifications and train the sales and support prior to product release.Help with go-to-market activities.The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments,  requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis? Help execute go-to-market plans for product launches and new releases including developing product messaging, positioning, targeting, pricing, and packaging, and channel strategy. A strong data-driven approach to building and optimizing go-to-market programs for Cloud Storage and Data Protection portfolio.Engage with all the different Partners including MSPs, Resellers, GSI, ITO etc. working with Partner facing field teams.You will be responsible for defining, driving, and managing the product strategy, roadmap, and product lifecycle and product release for VMC FlexStorage , including gathering requirements, crafting technical and functional specifications, coordinating development efforts through implementation and subsequent supportYou will be using your experience in the Storage and Data Protection industry to guide the engineering and cross-functional teams.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, delivering presentations to various audiences, including customers and partners.Work with cross-functional teams to create sales enablement materials, such as product demos, presentations, and case studies, that highlight the benefits and value of VMware's storage and data protection solutions.Develop and deliver product training to sales teams and partners to ensure they have the knowledge and tools needed to sell and support VMware's storage and data protection products.Work with marketing teams to develop product collateral, campaigns, and events to drive product awareness and demand generation in the storage and data protection domain.Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and partners to understand their storage and data protection needs and gather feedback to inform product decisions.Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive products in the storage and data protection domain, to develop and refine product strategies and roadmaps.Develop and manage product pricing and licensing strategies to ensure product profitability and customer value.Act as a storage and data protection product evangelist both internally and externally, to drive awareness, adoption, and advocacy for VMware's storage and data protection products.You are a self-starter, creative, diligent, energetic, and passionate.
