You will be a major contributor to develop our distributed infrastructure spanning vCenter and ESXi components and build features in C++ and Python languages at a rapid pace without compromising product quality. In this role you will also debug and resolve QA found issues and customer concerns and identify roadmap items to strengthen the current product. You will collaborate with various engineering teams and contribute to the further growth of the team.What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis? As part of vLCM development team, you will enjoy solving complex problems, drive product enhancement and help build the next set of capabilities.You will be responsible for the design, development, testing, delivery, and support of the ESXi lifecycle management workflow. You will engage with various teams within VMware to collect requirements for new features, participate in design and code reviews across the teams.You will work closely with the VMware Cloud on AWS to integrate new features and capabilities. You will apply strong foundational knowledge in data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving skills.You will build code that can work on legacy as well as cloud platformsYou will participate in hiring and mentoring activities to take the team to the next level.What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like?The vSphere Lifecycle Management (vLCM) team that you will join is a critical component of VMware multi-cloud strategy and part of Cloud Infrastructure Business Group (CIBG). You will join one of the teams with brightest minds in the industry, and our engineering team is spread globally throughout VMware offices in USA, Bulgaria, and India. You will report to a local leadership and work closely with the rest of the organisation.
