We do it with a spirit of inclusion and trust, acting as 'One VMware' to help our customers win.As a Solution Engineer (SE) in the VMware Security team, you will get the opportunity to work with our VMware Carbon Black security products portfolio and other VMware products.Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6–12 months you will work toward completing?Become a Solution Engineer capable of demonstrating the security solutions, lead product trials and act as a trusted advisor.Within 30 days:Complete onboarding and become familiar with VMware as a company, including various teams and processes used.Gain understanding how our solutions and use cases fit into the VMware Vision and Strategy.Within 60 days:Gain knowledge of the Carbon Black Cloud product range with the ability to deliver product demonstrations to prospects and assist in product trials (POV).Gain understanding how we can help customers secure their environments and the unique value they can get from our solutions and services.You will create new whiteboard presentations and deliver content in your own unique way.Within 90 days:Gain knowledge of the Carbon Black On-Premise product range with the ability to deliver product demonstrations and lead product trials (POV) of all products.Further:You will become a trusted advisor and partner with the sales team to drive business.You will develop scenario-based solution demonstrations based upon real world examples.You will establish solid working relationships with other VMware teams like the Channel Team, Technical Support, Professional Services and other Specialist teams.The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?As part of the SE team, you can expect a variety of the following assignments. Most of the work is done remotely, with occasional visits to customers:Demonstrating products from VMware Carbon Black - articulate business and technical benefits of our solution, explain use cases, showcase the use of productsLead technical trials – Proof of Value (POV) – help install products, provide information about best practices, define success criteria, troubleshoot issuesLead technical Workshops to demonstrate details of solutionsPre-sales support – advise on best fitting product, answer technical questions about the products, assist with objection handling, answer Requests for InformationProvide technical enablement to Sales and Partner teamsWork with other VMware BUs on cross product projects with prospectsMaintain your own demo lab environmentRepresent the company in various trade shows to provide product informationUse your language skills to support local markets: mandatory English, French and ArabicWhat is the leadership like for this role? You’ll be joining a friendly and supportive environment with a customer-centric and growth mindset approach.The Hiring Manager for this role is Aleksander, SE Manager – Security, who has been in the company for over 5 years. Prior to becoming the manager of the team, Aleksander was a Solution Engineer within the same team. His focus is individual and team development.The team is distributed across the EMEA region.
