As a Product Manager in the Security Business Unit  (SBU), you’ll be responsible for identifying, prioritizing, and executing the roadmap. You’ll work with stakeholders across product, engineering, sales, and customer success to ensure that we are working on the right things, at the right times, to protect our customers globally.Success in the Role: What are the performance goals over the first 6-12 months you will work towards completing?  In the first 30 days you’ll spend getting up to speed - learning about the market, our products, our tools, our teams and our technology.In the first 60 days, you’ll go deep on our roadmaps, understanding the intricate interdependencies of delivering SaaS products to different markets. You’ll work with engineering to understand our current work in progress. You’ll work with support and customers to understand our current challenges across the Carbon Black Cloud.In the first 90 days, you’ll work with product and engineering to refine, prioritize, and deliver Carbon Black Cloud roadmaps. You’ll communicate internally and externally about the releases, celebrations, and challenges through documentation, announcements, and presentations.In the first 180 days, you'll be prioritizing work, scoping features, proactively researching new features, proactively addressing issues before they become a challenge for our customers, and meeting with customers. Product Managers across the SBU product team will coordinate with you on extending the Carbon Black Cloud product offerings.What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements or skills will you be performing on a regular basis? Ruthlessly prioritize the backlog for the Carbon Black Cloud product offerings to drive clarity for engineers.Refine and maintain a delivery roadmap of new Carbon Black Cloud Products and FeaturesOwn your roadmap from concept to release; including market research, documentation, execution, and release. Proactively identify and mitigate issues and risks for our customers before they encounter themWhat is leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like? This role reports into Cody Doerfler, Sr. Manager Product Management. The other members of your team are Platform Product Managers, and you are part of the larger Carbon Black Cloud Platform team.You will work closely with the Product Line Manager for Managed Products, Community, and Tech Alliances. Where is the role located? The location of this role is flexible. Work can be completed from a VMware office or a remote location in the US. The actual offer will be based on the role, location, and individual candidate experience. Bonus, commission, and/or equity may be eligible for this position.
