We are looking for a Business Solutions Strategist to join our Advisory Services team. VMware Advisory Services team is an EMEA team, investing in our strategic account base to develop and demonstrate client transformation strategies aligned with their business goals. You will bring passion, drive and a genuine customer-first approach to help our customers achieve their digital transformation goals, inclusive of business alignment (the WHY), future state definition and measurements (the WHAT) and transformation execution (the HOW). You will be engaging with Director, VP and C-level executives, both internally and externally, providing perspective and guidance on long-term business/technology strategy, investments and innovation drawing upon their depth and breadth of technical and business management knowledge. You will be working closely with our biggest and most strategic customers in Israel and across CEMEA (Germany, Israel, Switzerland) to help them with their digital transformation and generate incredible value for their businesses and communities. Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes you will work toward completing? You will be the primary advisor to align with customer business objectives and initiatives, articulate VMware’s value and drive customer business outcomes, while the customer is going through digital transformation. Within 30 days: Making an impact early at VMware relies on 3 core elements. Establishing relationships with colleagues, customers and partners; building solid knowledge and understanding of our technologies; and navigating the business processes and best practices within our teams. Within 90 days: You will have the necessary foundation of the guidelines and toolset to start leading the Advisory engagement at your accounts, focusing on advising clients on challenges related to the digital transformation strategy and complexity trade-offs of technical and business transformation impact. Within 180 days: You will be the primary advisor in the accounts assigned to you, jointly with the account team, develop the strategy to strengthen the partnership with the customer, you will identify the near-term future state of a customer’s business, determine a desired state, and develop/agree on a customer mid-term roadmap and plan, also building customer C-suite relationships. Within 360 days: You will be a trusted partner and define the business requirements and develop a long-term transformation strategy that aligns with the customer's long-term business objectives and VMWare’s offerings to lead large transformational project discussions and negotiation. Also, you will be a visible spokesperson and you will bring your learnings and experience back into the EMEA organization.The Work: What type of work will you be doing? As part of the Accelerate Advisory Services team, you will: Build effective business relationships with Directors, VPs, and C-level executives, providing insights, perspective, and guidance on long-term business and technology strategy, investments, and innovationFacilitating effective customer workshops designed to shape thinking on Business Outcomes, Application Modernization, Multi-Cloud Strategies, IT planning and operational transformationDevelop high-quality Value Cases and assist in ROI and TCO analysis; Build Technology and Transformation Strategies, ensuring consistent value realization for VMware clientsAdvise customers on Risk Management procedures, Implementation Timelines, Change Management Implications, and Current capacity analysis; Establish solid working relationships with VMware strategic account teams, sales leadership, professional services, product management, and executive staffSpread best practices among accounts/account teams and elevate strategic mindshare with those accountsDelivering presentations, keynotes and thought leadership where appropriate, which inspire customers to challenge their current state of thinking and be drawn to innovative thinking around the future of IT in the business Working closely with GTM & VMware’s professional services and Labs consulting teams to build and support IT transformational strategies and to pull through PSO engagements and revenue What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like? The Hiring Manager for this role is Martin Niemer for CEMEA Director Advisory Services leading the team for 7 years and looking after the team from Munich. He has 30+ years of experience in the IT industry and is with VMware for 15 years. Martin held various customer value-orientated roles at VMware. The Advisory Services team operates as a set of expert and experienced resources, working closely with the sales teams, ACT (Application & Cloud Transformation Team), and professional services teams, in order to shape and drive customer engagement strategies that lead to large transformational deals. The team has 8 direct members across the CEMEA region, currently, Germany, Israel and Switzerland are closely co-located with customer and account teams. The team has varied membership from people with many years of industry experience to earlier career individuals. Expertise in technology, a consultative approach and customer focus are very important to the group alongside the ability to house a broad spectrum of opinions all with value. Where is this role located? Flexible: The role is considered flexible and will be a mix of working from a local VMware office in Tel Aviv and remote depending on your preferences and the arrangements determined with your future manager.
