The atlas platform team is the VMware cloud platform team that is working on taking the VMCloud to a multi cloud solution. This position is a Staff Engineer in the Atlas Platform team. This staff engineer will closely work with talented VMware software engineers who build cloud solutions on the atlas platform. Also, will work closely with engineers understanding the business cases and work with the platform developers in building frameworks, features and capabilities on the atlas platform to meet the business needs. We are looking for software developers with over 10+ years of experience and has a passion for developer experience. Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing? Within the first 90 days, you will start contributing to:Design and develop tools and frameworks using Java/Springboot, Kubernetes, Docker technologies.Help create standards for the VMware Cloud System across APIs and SDKsWork with the CI/CD teams to help create the blueprints used for all services.Integrate and drive the adoption of latest features.Recommend best practices and tools to improve micro-service development standards and processes.You are immersed in the team’s day to day operations; are advising engineers on how to advance technical work-streams. The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What is the structure and culture of the team like?I'm Yogesh K R, a Manager in VMware Cloud Atlas Platform and Developer Productivity Team. Our main objective is to build enriched multi-cloud platform and create a seamless developer experience for building cloud solutions on this platform.
