Staff Power Design and Integrity Engineer

As a member of a diversified and energetic HW team, the candidate will work not only with local teams but also with global teams to develop reliable ,cost effective power solutions for DCI, OTN in optical transportation systems.Work with HW, system architecture team (even directly with PLM team) to define the Chassis and individual card power budget, architecture and solution as key HW representative.Take key design role responsible for power solution deliverable, from the initial power architecture and engineering specification documentations, card level power circuits schematics and simulation ,layout review and post layout PI simulation , co-working with other HW board designers to bring up and complete the board and Chassis validation (incl compliance testing) and finally into mass production.Take key design role responsible for the PSU ODM procurement spec and following up with ODM vendor to ensure the delivery.Contribute in the HW design competence optimization activities, like various technical training and forums, etc.REQUIREMENTSElectrical Engineering or relevant in BSEE degree with 7+ years working experience or MSEE degree with 5+ years working experience respectively, major in power design and simulation area.  Concrete understanding of the communication system Chassis level and single card level power design, simulation and delivery process, covering solution identification, components selection, design specification, schematics and simulation, layout review and PI simulation, DVT bring up, EMC/Safety Compliance methodology etc.  Concrete understanding in regular design areas, covering  high dense DC/DC (-48V/HVDC input etc ) and AC/DC (220V input etc) Kilowatt level Chassis PSU modules, hundred Watt level board level single or multi-phase DC/DC, LDO circuits, PMBUS interfaces, Hotswap, Isolated DC/DC module circuits design and validation.Own design capability with regular EDA tools (Mentor, Cadence. etc) to fulfil schematics design , AC and DC PI simulation and guidance (Ansys Siwave , Cadence Power DC), layout supervision etc, specifically in boards with dense power, signal integrity challenging condition.Strong debug experience in power circuits bring up/validation and trouble shootings, (incl compliance testing) with regular analysers like oscilloscopes, external DC sources, Electrical load etc.   Passionate and persistent spirit with excellent team-work mindset.Desirable skillsKnowledge in SI design principle and simulation tool (Ansys /HFSS, ADS, etc.) is a plus.Knowledge in high dense board design and expertise is a plus.Knowledge in compliance EMC/safety standard and regulation is a plus.Infinera is an equal opportunity employer.
