DVTr Engineer

Infinera is forming a new group within the Hardware Development team, focused on Reliability & Quality Engineering. This is a great opportunity to get in on the ground floor and established strategies to ensure robust HW product development, and help to drive execution of these strategies. Note that the DVTr Engineer will be co-located in the geography where the HW Design Engineers responsible for the given design are located (San Jose, Ottawa, Bangalore, Shanghai).Your Key Responsibilities Would Include:Responsible for execution of DVTr plans, top-level debug on testing issuesCollaborate with internal and external (lab) resources for testing setup and execution, monitor resultsInterface & Collaborate with HW Design teams on setup and debug (troubleshooting issues during DVTr)Responsible for report-outs on results and interpretation of DVTr resultsInterface with the Systems Reliability Program Manager on prioritization, milestones and metricsEducation & Experience Necessary For Success:BS/MS Mechanical Engineering or Computer Engineering5+ years of MDVT (Mechanical DVT) experienceExperience working with outside labs on Operational/Non-Operational system testing, Shock/Vibration testingFamiliarity with NEBS Telcordia GR-63-CORE requirements and testing executionExperience with testing to GR-63-CORE using both internal and external labsStrong Mechanical Engineering/Thermal Engineering experience with complex Opto-electronics systems is beneficialStrong interface skills need for working with cross-functional teams (HW Development Engineering, Firmware Engineering, Operations, External suppliers).Excellent verbal and written communication skills neededInfinera is an equal opportunity employer.
