This is a key development position for Infinera’s optical line modules. You will be working on the industry’s most advanced DWDM transport products, which are powered by Infinera’s cutting-edge PIC technology, sophisticated optics and world-class Coherent DSP ASICs. You will be responsible for code design, implementation and testing for Infinera’s next generation products in Optical Engineering for Long Haul, Metro and Data Center Interconnects. You will collaborate and contribute on our new product development, as well as work closely across multiple divisions and teams at Infinera.We would like to welcome you to our industry leading, disrupting and standard setting teams if you have….Job Responsibilities:Code design, implementation and testing for Infinera’s next generation of Optical Engine used for Long Haul, Metro and Data Center InterconnectsRequirement and design documentation, and help on testing documentationInterface with optical, hardware, FPGA, software, manufacturing and test teams for assigned functionsTransfer of Information to manufacturingDebug and fix customer issues.Knowledge/Skills:8+ years of industry experience of firmware development experience in multi-threaded real time environmentBS and/or MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer ScienceGreat C/C++ programming skills. Visual Basic, Matlab or Python are considered a plusStrong background in SW engineering practices: automation infrastructure for test, componentization, release engineering, agile methodologyProven ability to influence cross-functionally at senior levels, including SW, HW, Architecture, and Technical SupportExcellent analytical and troubleshooting skillsExperience with JTAG debuggers, oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, software version control (Like Perforce, GIT) and bug tracking systemsInfinera is an equal opportunity employer.
