Candidates already in possession of a valid B1 Visa preferred. Infinera is searching for a qualified candidate to work as a Process Engineer within global system manufacturing team. The position is key technical resource within the system manufacturing team to provide the expertise and support for new product introduction (NPI) and continue improvement of Infinera’s innovative network solutions. Ensure the successful transition from prototype build to production to meet the requirements for efficient, cost effective, manufacturability, Quality and rework ability. This position needs to partner with North American and International Process, design and contract manufacturing team.Process Engineer responsible for Process Engineering prove-in, operation, improvement and maintenance of optoelectronic manufacturing processes in a production environment.Essential Functions / Key Responsibilities Key member of cross-functional Process Engineering team being responsible for NPI, then production at the CM location.Work with design and operation team on development and productization of optical module and digital line card assembly operations.Work with CM to Drive root cause analysis and correction of production failures.Partner with CM for yield/process improvementsMonitor and provide operation Yield and failure status to Infinera Global operations groupResponsible to work with the CM to ensure quality using: Work instructions, personnel training, process improvement, FMA, process controls and measurables.Support LEAN manufacturing and Cost Reduction activitiesResponsible for resolving the critical issues and defect reduction in production line at CMBe able to work independently and prioritize tasksAbility to travel internationally is required per project timeline, follow the local COVID-19 protocol.Education / Experience BS or MS in engineering required3+ years of direct experience in optoelectronics and fiber optical components/modules processingKnowledge / Skills / Abilities The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, analytic, detail-oriented, possesses quantitative analysis skills, is self-motivated, a great team member, able to pro-actively communicate with all employees and work well in a fast-paced environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.Requires a strong understanding of change controls and process flow.Optical Alignment, Wire Bonding, Pick & Place Bonding and manual assembly processing experience desiredEquipment Mechanical and Electrical trouble shooting desiredThis position requires interface throughout all levels and functions of the organization.Proficient with statistical analysis, experience with JMP a plus.CAD skills SolidWorks, AutoCAD is a plusExperience with Agile and SAP, is a plus.Programming/scripting skills in one or more of the following: Visual Studio.NET, Python, TTL, Microsoft SQL DB, is a plus#LI-GA1#LI-HybridInfinera is an equal opportunity employer.
