Production Buyer / Planner

Non-CA Pay Range (Annual):-At Infinera, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. Your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for equity grants, discretionary bonuses, or commission payments. The amount of these incentives is based on the terms of the Company’s incentive plans, the Company’s financial performance, and/or individual employee job performance.Infinera also offers paid leave, medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k), ESPP,life, and disability insurance and toeligible employees.Your Key Responsibilities Would Include: Supports CM Managers by creating and managing purchase orders and inventory programs to meet lead times and schedule expectationsPrepares and coordinates quote packages for direct material purchasesExpedites material shortages and seeks alternate suppliers to support production buildsProvides purchasing inputs to the supplier performance management processEnsures that all material data elements in the ERP system are accurate for successful production releaseResponsible for correct transaction and physical movement of procured material in the ERP system.Manages the return to suppliers process (RTVs).Manages Min Max or External Hub material strategy with various suppliers as needed.Reviews quarterly standard costs, and production quotes. Clearly identifies gaps and works closely with suppliers to resolve discrepancies.Provides regular reports on inventory levels/accuracy, purchase order status, and spending.Education & Experience Necessary For Success:Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environmentAbility to solve problems and answer questions with minimal supervisionHighly organized with ability to balance multiple projects1-5+ years of related purchasing/planning experience in electronics systems manufacturingWorking knowledge of purchasing and materials modules in SAP ERP SystemMaterials Excel data skills and reports – pivot tables, V-look up, and basic formulasBS degree (preferably in purchasing/supply chain management), or equivalent work experience  #LI-DW1Infinera is an equal opportunity employer.
