Non-CA Pay Range (Annual):$117,800.00 - $218,800.00At Infinera, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. Your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for equity grants, discretionary bonuses, or commission payments. The amount of these incentives is based on the terms of the Company’s incentive plans, the Company’s financial performance, and/or individual employee job performance.Infinera also offers paid leave, medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k), ESPP,life, and disability insurance and toeligible employees.Summary:  Infinera Professional Services Engineers are highly skilled individuals who have expert knowledge of all Infinera products and applications. These engineers provide the first point of contact for Infinera customers for all Services and Support activities. In addition the Professional Services engineers work closely with Infinera partners, EF&I, SLTE, TAC, Account team, all other Infinera departments and directly with the customer to ensure that our customers receive the World Class Infinera Support.Proficient in all supported releases of Infinera productsProficient in presenting a demonstration to customers of the Infinera EquipmentProvide technical assistance to Infinera customers from product trial through implementationManage operational aspects of customer trials and deployment including:Resolving customer-identified problemsRepresenting Support in customer AIR meetingsGenerating Ops review reports and delivering Ops reviews to the customerDriving customer interests within InfineraCommunicating to HQProviding technical expertise to local account teamsPlan, manage and execute SOW/contract deliverables for Infinera Professional Services offeringsAssist in customer-specific test planCustomer management of high visibility technical issuesLead in technical meetings with customersType Approval Testing (TAT) for SW releasesLab trials and field trialsAudit and present customer operations reviewsProviding onsite support during deployment to ensure customers easily integrate Infinera into their operationsPlaying an active role in kick off meetings to ensure customers are covered for all aspects of Operations – Training, Service Logistics, TAC, etcWriting of Method of Procedures (MOP) for technical activitiesThe position includes acting as a sales representative of technical services.  The Professional Engineer have extensive knowledge about the technology and fusing their technical expertise with their services sales skills, Professional Engineer manage to sell various technical services to potential clients.  The job description involves providing solutions to technical queries of clients, marketing the services, and attending customers meeting.  Another facet of Professional Services Engineer is to work in tandem with Business Development to analyze the success of the services solution and eliminating solution gaps.  Extensive traveling and frequent meetings with customers is an integral part of a professional services engineer’s job duties.Providing quotes for servicesWorking with partners to deliver services to Infinera customersAssisting sales to convey the benefit of Infinera Professional ServicesPosition Requirements:Excellent communication skills, technical knowledge and services requirement identifications, in-depth knowledge of physical and logical network designs, teamwork, and organizational skillsProvide operations review and professional services solutions to customer.  This includes using PowerPoint, white boarding and presentation of materialSuperior technical competence in trouble-shooting real-time embedded software, optical and digital hardware, and network management systemsStrong technical background in long-haul or inter-office optical networking technologies, including DWDM/SONET/SDH and high-speed EthernetTCP/IP experience require with emphasis on the following protocol, OSPF, ISIS, RSVP, GMPLS, and P2PExperience with Layer2 and 3 requireStrong technical background testing or supporting of the following:NM/OSS software using XML, CORBA, TL-1 or SNMPLong-haul optical networking physical layer hardwareEducational QualificationsBachelor Science Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a minimum of 7 years experience demonstrating success and growth while supporting or testing high-speed optical networking products for the service provider market#LI-JP1#LI-RemoteInfinera is an equal opportunity employer.
