Non-CA Pay Range (Annual):$138,600.00 - $257,400.00At Infinera, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. Your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for equity grants, discretionary bonuses, or commission payments. The amount of these incentives is based on the terms of the Company’s incentive plans, the Company’s financial performance, and/or individual employee job performance.Infinera also offers paid leave, medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k), ESPP,life, and disability insurance and toeligible employees.Infinera is seeking a Director, Solutions Marketing – Optical Networking.   The coherent DWDM application technology includes optical line system (Layer 0 – OLS), embedded and pluggable optical engines/transceivers (Layer 1), and intelligent software automation.  The role is a global marketing position, focused on adapting, developing, and executing highly effective optical transmission marketing materials and programs to aid Infinera with direct and indirect (via partners) network operator marketing campaigns to increase market awareness, generate demand, accelerate the pipeline, and grow sales.Successful candidates in this role will:1) Understand challenges experienced by network operators and enterprises that buy/build optical transmission networks2) Identify, construct, and collaborate on marketing campaigns with Infinera direct sales teams and partner teams to target network owners, operators, and multiple vertical enterprises3) Devise and adapt marketing content and strategy to drive thought leadership and sales in the optical transmission marketThe ideal candidate should be a self-starter, independent and capable of collaborating with cross-functional and distributed teams.  The candidate should have previous experience in networking including marketing embedded and pluggable optical engines and components as a key contributor. Solid integrated marketing function mastery, excellent indirect leadership and influencing skills, strong project management and interpersonal skills, especially around promoting cross-functional collaboration in a matrix environment and driving a discipline of data-driven marketing ROI tracking and measurement. The ideal candidate will also have a technical background, degree in engineering and an MBA (optional) as well as familiarity with the global telecommunications landscape. Essential ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate marketing activities including delivering in-person presentations for customer executive visits at Infinera site locations in the United StatesLead and coordinate marketing activities including delivering in-person presentations for Infinera Xchange events hosted for network operators, partners and enterprisesDevelop white papers, case-studies, and other written marketing collateral to support direct sales, partners and enterprisesProvide marketing leadership and collaborate with sales for content and presentations that include embedded and pluggable optical engines and optical line systems at industry events and directly with customers, partners and enterprisesCollaborate with Infinera sales teams to develop, manage and execute a tailored marketing campaign with a collection of materials aimed at influencing individual network operators, partners or enterprisesWork closely with direct sales, partner sales, solution marketing teammates, product line management, network architecture and adjacent technology teams to understand the optical market challenges and opportunitiesIncrease brand preference by relevant messaging to key customers and targeted vertical segments through direct and indirect marketing activitiesCollaborate with marketing teammates to execute within budget and deliver quantitative benefits that maximize return on investmentMaintain and report all metrics important to the business, sales and marketing executive teamsRequired Skills/Qualifications: The candidate must be well organized; self-starter with the ability to manage build/develop/execute best practices as well as new ideas to help drive product revenue growth.   The candidate must also be able to associate all goals, objectives and budget requirements into measurable results to continually evaluate & drive success, as well as combat competitive threats.The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:10+ years high-technical marketing experience including integrated campaigns & content.7+ years coherent DWDM Optical networking understanding and experienceEmbedded and pluggable coherent optical engine/transceiver understanding and experienceOptical modules and components experienceAn excellent understanding of marketing functional disciplinesExcellent verbal, presentation and written communications skillsProject management skills & ability to manage multiple complex projects in parallelProven track record of marketing success, especially in B2B environmentsAbility to work collaboratively in a globally distributed team environmentPossess strong leadership and management skillsBachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, MBA or equivalent experience a plusStrong business and market analysis skills#LI-DW1#LI-RemoteInfinera is an equal opportunity employer.
