You will be responsible for working with application groups to understand long term strategy and creating roadmaps.  In addition, you will own major improvement initiatives from ideation to implementation, including funding, planning and operational support.What You'll Do:Be a hands-on subject matter expert for one or more areas within the networkCreate and drive short and long term plans and initiativesProvide technical direction and insight for projects, discovery, and problem managementPartner with application and business teams to align strategyProvide operational support for multi-vendor, multi-region production network at-scaleParticipate in regular, frequent project meetings to address challenges and drive milestonesImprove the reliability and efficiency of production network and drive best practicesWrite simple to moderately complex scripts and programs for automation, tools, frameworks, dashboards, alarms. (common uses: Python, Go)Identify, test and integrate new products, operating systems and feature setsParticipate in 24x7 on-call rotationsWhat You'll Need:Must have proven track record in leading initiatives independently with minimal supervision15+ years of experience in designing and building large scale backbone and edge networksSubject-matter expert in core networking principles and protocols such as MP-BGP, OSPF, ISIS, VRF, VxLAN, EVPN, QoS, GRE, IP SEC, DNS, MACsec.Expert in building and operating large scale networks using technologies, such as  optical/DWDM, CDN, edge network security, DDoS mitigation, load balancing.Deep understanding of various infrastructure technologies for server virtualization, container, databases, message queuing services, large-scale infrastructure provisioning and managementExtensive experience in deploying and managing large network using scripts or automation frameworks, such as Python, Ansible, YAML, or Netconf/YANGWorking experience in building and managing connectivity on public cloud (AWS, GCP)Experience in selecting, testing, and deploying networking hardware and software.Proficient with various networking vendors such as Arista, Juniper, Adva, Nokia, Cisco, HP, etc.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or work-related discipline/field from an accredited college or university.Preferred Qualifications:Work experience in data center, telecom, SaaS, or cloud operations companies.Ability to communicate technical detail into succinct and fact-based business terminology, both verbally and in writing.Customer-focused mindset, with demonstrated skill in managing expectations, providing proactive status updates, and producing high-quality work products.Ability to use independent judgment to make sound, justifiable decisions and take action to solve problems.Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work independently and meet deadlines.Ability to work collaboratively with a distributed team in multiple time zones#LI-LY1#LI-RemoteBenefits of Working at CrowdStrike:Remote-first cultureMarket leader in compensation and equity awardsCompetitive vacation and flexible working arrangements Comprehensive and inclusive health benefitsPhysical and mental wellness programsPaid parental leave, including adoption A variety of professional development and mentorship opportunitiesOffices with stocked kitchens when you need to fuel innovation and collaborationWe are committed to fostering a culture of belonging where everyone feels seen, heard, valued for who they are and empowered to succeed.
