Job Requisition ID #21WD54961Position OverviewAs a Solution Architect specialized in Data Architecture, you will be a subject matter expert with experience in defining, designing and building data models, integrating technical/functional Autodesk solutions that create advantage for companies according to their strategy. You’ll work closely with our customers’ teams to architect and design innovative solutions with specifications that can be traced to business strategy and success metrics. In this role will have strategic conversation with customers and colleagues proving your technical authority and leadership as a subject matter expert.Main ResponsibilitiesDefine Software and IT System architecture, data architecture in particular, by evaluating and translating customer business needsDefine Solution architecture and/or validate customer’s architecture feasibilityCreates a path to develop, integrate and deploy Autodesk solutions into enterpriseKeeps abreast with technology trends (innovative and disruptive) affecting our customersProvides input to stakeholders for arriving at best possible solutionProvides insight into enterprise impact from proposed solutionEducates and highlights key architecture considerations to implement solutionProvides traceability from business requirement to solution componentsGathers input on non-functional requirements for solutionMay act as liaison between customer IT and Business stakeholders within the scope of solutionEstimates effort and resources requiredEnables customer to engage in validation of critical componentsValidates Autodesk products API capabilities to be used in the solutionProvides look-forward view of solution wireframeBe effective voice of Autodesk solutions in various outlets such as conferences, whitepapers and blogsGives visibility of complete dependencies of People, Process and TechnologyContributes towards Customer’s Change Management framework and identifies division of laborGathers and internalizes rich customer feedback, using it to generate innovative solutions that fill core or future needsActs as “Trusted Advisor” to the customer and guide them to success in their digital transformation journeyWorks with project managers and project sponsors to provide enterprise solutions to specific business problems and issues across many domainsCollaborates with the broader architecture community to ensure that their solutions align with target architectures and technology roadmapsPrepares and presents project documentation for the customer stakeholdersEvaluates design approaches, makes architectural recommendations, and implements improvements to adoption strategiesPresent “point of view” on implementation roadmap to different of stakeholdersDevelop “reference architectures” and promote re-use in implementing Autodesk technologiesLead and Mentor developers and 3rd party consultantsTravel up to 50%Minimum QualificationsHave a minimum of three years' experience in the roleCapability to interact with customersWritten and Oral Communication English mandatory, other Language is a PlusFamiliarity with the concept of data architecture as a composition of models, policies, rules or standards that govern which data is collectedUnderstanding of Data Engineering design patterns around data acquisition, data transformation and data presentation in various paradigms, e.g. real-time, batch, NoSQL/SQL, SaaS offerings and othersUnderstanding the different ways an application layer can interface with a data repositoryProven knowledge of:a number of techniques and notations for capturing information and/or physical data modelsthe different type of databasesthe concept of DaaS and the most common offering from public vendorentity relationship diagramsdatabases for analyticsHands-on role in creation of conceptual logical and physical data modelsApplication Design, Enterprise ArchitectureTOGAF is a PlusArchimate is a PlusWorking experience leading the design and implementation of enterprise-scale data solutionsUnderstanding of data science techniquesWorking Knowledge of database development toolsWorking knowledge of the following topics:Web Ontology Language (OWL)Linked data & semantic webResource Description Framework (RDF) and semantic tripleNice to haveexperience with big dataexperience with software like Snowflakeexperience as a data engineerexperience with analytics, machine learning, deep learning and AI in generalanalysis and processing of data streamsfamiliar with Azure offering in the context of databasesexperience with unstructured dataexperience on specific technologies Oracle, MS SQLServer, Cosmos Dbexperience as database administratorAt Autodesk, we're building a diverse workplace and an inclusive culture to give more people the chance to imagine, design, and make a better world.
