Job Requisition ID #22WD66507Cloud DevOps EngineerWe're growing our Cloud Management team within Autodesk's Enterprise IT organization. This team is responsible for defining, provisioning, and managing enterprise public clouds that help enable developer productivity. The team is seeking a Cloud DevOps Engineer who will have a critical role in how we define and manage our public cloud.Our engineering culture will empower you to make effective decisions, work collaboratively and take accountability for engineering projects at the company's core and at the leading edge of the latest industry technology trends.The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of cloud computing and technology systems and experience in software development and scripting. You should have a positive attitude and excellent communication skills to share your thoughts and knowledge effectively.Responsibilities and Deliverables Work in tandem with our engineering team to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions.Building and setting up new development and infrastructure toolsPerforming analysis of request/support items to identify trends and/or areas for the implementation of automation efficiencies.Build automation solutions to reduce manual efforts and increase team efficiency.Managing cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelinesProvide guidance, thought leadership, and mentorship to development teams to build cloud competenciesTroubleshoot incidents, identify root cause, fix and document problems, and implement preventive measuresSolve problems and proactively look for ways to improve cloud platforms and processes.Respond to technical issues in a professional and timely manner.Interact with the internal AWS and Azure user communities to understand requests/issues, establish clear expectations, and provide effective communication throughout the support process.Work with other members of the globally-based Cloud Management Services team to ensure efficient resolution of requests.Work as part of an agile team to proactively communicate status and complete deliverables on scheduleQualifications Skills & Work TraitsVery good knowledge of AWS and Azure cloud services.Proficient in writing scripts using Perl, Shell, Python, GO, RubyExcellent knowledge of AWS IaC (Infrastructure-as-Code)and DevOps expertise.Comfortable performing requirements analysis, interfacing with stakeholders of various levels, and documenting solutions.Experience in CI/CD systems, Jenkins, Github, or similar toolsAbility to articulate technical topics to non-technical audiences both in writing, in diagrams and person.Energetic team player who works well across boundaries and readily adapts to change and enjoys rapid development.Confident of your skills, abilities, and willingness to share what you know, while learning from others.Ability to think and act with an “automation” mindset to problem-solving.Deals well with ambiguous or undefined problems.Ability to think abstractly and guide others.Strong written and oral communication skills.Experience working on configuration management tools such as Chef(optional)Experience5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS (Terraform, CloudFormation, EC2, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, VPC, Route 53, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and IAM).3+ years of development/automationexperience (with tools such as Python, Node.js, Go, Rest APIs, etc.).1+ year hands-on experience with Azure cloudEducationBachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience.AWS and Azure Certifications are plus.At Autodesk, we're building a diverse workplace and an inclusive culture to give more people the chance to imagine, design, and make a better world.
