This team defines and builds the software platform the Fusion 360 family of products is built upon. We are looking for a Software Development Manager who can lead a team of experienced software engineers in fulfilling the mission of the organization which is to drive developer productivity, cross platform device independence and software platform consistency. As a Software Development Manager, you will have the opportunity to build and mentor a team of engineers as they make changes to the core Fusion 360 platform and achieve cross platform device independence.ResponsibilitiesLead a team of 6-8 software engineers, QA, Product Owner, Architect working within a Scrum framework on high quality solutions in response to Stakeholder requirements.Sustain the performance of your team by communicating clear organizational goals and removing impediments.Set and fulfill the engineering hiring plan for the team, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing.Inspire and motivate team members to improve productivity and foster creativity while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.Promote a culture of continuous improvement through ongoing feedback, coaching and tracking performance. Support individual training and career development.Oversee both the software development process and technology to help make the right decisions while driving improvements and adjustments.Work with product managers, product owners, software architects and key stakeholders to draft release plans for product delivery.Foster cross-team collaboration to accomplish organizational goals.Be the spokesperson for the team and champion their accomplishments with upper management and adjacent teams.Be comfortable working with globally distributed peers and team members.Be comfortable working with team members who are working in a hybrid-remote model (where not all employees come to the office regularly).Minimum QualificationsDemonstrated experience managing software development teams responsible for delivering products or services to customers is a plusExperience in managing complex software projects with dependencies to other development teams and timelines is a plusDeep understanding of all phases of software development lifecycle from analyzing needs to delivery of working software4+ years of experience leading teams of mid and senior level software engineers, QA, PO and technical roles5+ years of experience programming and developing software in Web technologies, including client-server architecture & related technologies, Microservices, AWS or equivalent cloud industry experienceUnderstanding of Agile software development principlesExcellent verbal and written communication skills in EnglishBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other engineering disciplinePreferred QualificationsExperience delivering a complex platform project is a plusExperience in fast-paced platform/product deliveryLeading agile practices is a plusCross platform (Windows, OS-X, Linux) software development experience is a plusMobile, API and Browser development experience is a plusProject Management Certification is a plus#LI-POSTAt Autodesk, we're building a diverse workplace and an inclusive culture to give more people the chance to imagine, design, and make a better world.
