Autodesk is looking for a leader to drive technical content creation, storytelling, and enablement efforts across the architecture, engineering, and construction industry.In this role, you will lead a talented global team of technical marketing professionals that specialize in the entire process from design to operate. Your team will support Autodesk industry and product marketing as well as campaign development with innovative, engaging, and compelling technical content—with the primary goal of inspiring our customers to explore and adopt new technology and workflows. You will collaborate with stakeholders in the product development, industry strategy, sales, and customer success organizations to develop the content, tools, and programs needed to support enablement and business growth across direct, partner, and e-commerce sales channels. You’ll work alongside our executive team to support main-stage presentations with impactful technical demonstrations during Autodesk University(AU), One Team Conference(OTC), and other live and digital events.ResponsibilitiesLead Autodesk’s Architecture, Engineering, and Construction team in technical storytelling, producing customer-facing technical content using a variety of live, digital, and visual mediaWork with cross-functional teams, including industry and product marketing, industry strategy, product management, sales, and customer success to contribute sales and technical tools and trainings for global useSource or create foundational assets needed to support technical marketing activities, such as real-world data sets, customer success stories, sales presentations, and technical demonstrationsCollaborate with the sales knowledge transfer organization to develop sales communication plans supporting product launches and critical initiatives with technical assetsEstablish metrics and reporting that provide insight into the usage and effectiveness of technical marketing content against business objectivesPartner with industry strategy teams to conduct competitive analyses and document competitors’ strengths and weaknesses on an ongoing basisLead, manage, and develop a team of experienced technical marketing experts, providing continuous feedback, coaching, and training. Set clear goals and regularly evaluate the performance of the teamMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field (architecture, engineering, or similar), marketing discipline, business administration, etcAt least 10 years in a technical marketing, technical sales, consulting, or customer success role, including demonstrated leadership experienceIn-depth knowledge of Autodesk’s Architecture, Engineer, and Construction (AEC) portfolio and the primary industries we serveExcellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to relate complex technical concepts effectivelyAbility to execute in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and hybrid-remote environmentDemonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships, particularly with marketing, sales, product management, and channel partnersStrategic awareness of current technology trends in our primary industries, including computational design, cloud platforms, and connected dataIndustry experience in architecture, engineering, and construction, or related disciplinesProficiency with relevant design and make software—Revit, Civil3D, AutoCAD, Infraworks, or similar programsAbility to travel up to 25%, including internationalThe Ideal CandidateYou are passionate about design, technology, and innovation across the architecture, engineering, and construction industryYou are an evangelist—seeking to equip design professionals with the tools and technology that promote desired business outcomesYou possess the ability to give a presentation vs. reading bullet points off a PowerPoint. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $143,700 and $232,320. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
