Job Requisition ID #23WD67959Position Overview The Technical Marketing Manager for Education will play a critical role for the Education Experiences team at Autodesk. The candidate will be responsible for the creation of technical product content that effectively conveys the value of our platform and portfolio to education customers challenges and needs. In this role, a proven ability to communicate to customers through visual and video content will be critical.This individual must be able to tell and show a compelling solution story through technical product demonstrations that build confidence with our education customers and prove that Autodesk can support their needs. The candidate will be a core member of our education industry and portfolio marketing team and work with the rest of the team to understand the needs of our individual personas and to develop technical assets that support conversations with those personas. The role will require interfacing with customers, sales, channel partners, product managers, and industry marketing managers as well as across the wider business to ensure strategic alignment. The Technical Marketing Manager may also from time-to-time be required provide technical product and market expertise in support of events.The Technical Marketing Manager will be responsible for putting together compelling demonstrations and technical assets that will be used to support the sales and marketing funnel as well as produce technical documentation in the form of white papers, to help communicate and educate on the product value proposition. Interfacing with internal and external stakeholders including customers, will be a critical part of the role. Being able to communicate product details in terminology relatable for a broad variety of our education audience will be essential.This role offers the opportunity to work as part of a team on high-profile, global initiatives that is key to Autodesk’s long-term growth strategy while having a positive impact on the next generation of design and manufacturing professionals. ResponsibilitiesCreate and deliver education-focussed technical content in support of offering launches, including webpages, blog posts, social media content, feature and workflow videos, presentations, and whitepapersCreate and deliver education-focussed technical content in support of customer-facing marketing campaigns and initiatives, e.g. webpages, blog posts, social media content, feature and workflow videos, and presentationsCreate technical sales assets for use by Autodesk and channel partner sales teams, e.g. datasets, presentations, and workflow demonstrationsHelp train internal and external product representatives to deliver product presentations and demonstrationsDevelop and manage a set of project datasets to be used in product demosEngage with customers as a technical evangelist, both virtually and onsite, to facilitate shared learning experiencesAttend and/or present on behalf of Autodesk at regional and international conferences and eventsCollaborate as technical subject matter expert on assets such as messaging, positioning, keynote presentations, sales toolsEngage in alpha and beta releases to gain early insights into upcoming software releases and provide development feedback as well asDevelop and maintain relationships with other professionals at Autodesk, including the broader Marketing team, R&D, Sales, and Customer SuccessMinimum Qualifications3-5 years experience in a design and manufacturing role, preferably in the education sectorHands-on experience with Autodesk software, with a strong preference towards experience using Fusion 360Comprehensive understanding of how design and manufacturing software can be and is applied in educational settings across one or more of Autodesk’s key education segments Experience self-producing high-quality video content using Camtasia Studio, Adobe Creative Suite, Apple Final Cut Pro or similar video editing softwarePassion for technology and knowledge of Design and Manufacturing software, IT and technology trendsExcellent interpersonal skills required in order to build strong relationships, particularly with field and product organizations and partners, and an ability to be highly successful in a matrix management organizationProven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audiencePassion for teaching others; knowledgeable and experienced at using a mix of design tools and technology to educate othersEffective communication skills and strong presentation skillsExcel at collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders to get the job done and thoroughly enjoy being part of a teamTravel: 20%#LI-POSTClick below to learn more about our benefits in the US.https://benefits.autodesk.com/ At Autodesk, we're building a diverse workplace and an inclusive culture to give more people the chance to imagine, design, and make a better world. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $114,500 and $185,240. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
