We are dedicated to building out a world-class secure data platform that is used daily by thousands of people across Autodesk to make data-driven decisions about product design, power machine learning efforts, advance experimentation, deliver delightful customer experiences and more.As a Software Development Manager, you will lead a team building Platform capabilities, to ingest and process data in near-realtime.You’ll work closely with colleagues in Product Management, adjacent Engineering teams and stakeholders in various functions and organizations across Autodesk to drive execution and ensure adoption of the platform. You’ll also play a key role ensuring that we maintain privacy and security standards respecting and safeguarding our customers’ data.As an ideal candidate, you have led engineering teams to build production systems for managing large scale data warehouses. You should have hands-on experience and strong knowledge of modern data lake architectures on private or public cloud.You are comfortable in an agile environment and know how to build and guide a highly effective and high performing team. Most of all, you can inspire a team to do great things.ResponsibilitiesManage a team of software engineers responsible for delivering features and functionality on the Autodesk Data PlatformWork with your team to help understand requirements, evaluate new features, help drive technology roadmap decisionsBuild collaborative partnerships with platform architects, technical leads and key individuals within other functional organizations, to deliver compelling solutionsBuild and foster a high-performance culture, mentor team members and provide your team with the tools and motivation to make things happenCreate plans, track and ensure tactical execution and adherence to budgets, schedules, plans, and performanceDriving the execution of the platform strategy following principles of agile methodologyMinimum Qualifications10-13 years of software development experience3+ years of experience as a managerProven ability to manage and resolve complex and ambiguous issuesExperience managing inventory of large infrastructure datacenters or public cloudsExperience working with Data Lake or Warehouses, ETLs, Snowflake, modern DB stacksExperience designing and developing highly scalable and resilient data ingestion and processing pipelines, monitoring and/or self-healing systemsExperience delivering production applications with Amazon Web ServicesYou’ve been a part of a team that’s shipped software with modern software processes and practices including Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Infrastructure-as-Code, etcExperience with Scrum and agile development processes and methodologiesExcellent communication and written skillsBS or MS in Computer Science or related technical fieldThe Ideal CandidateYou understand what it takes to develop and deliver highly scalable and highly performant data platformYou can recruit and attract exceptional talentYou have a passion for being a mentor and a teacherYou have a passion for DevOps, continuous integration and continuous deliveryYou support SCRUM and know how to build and guide a highly effective, self-managing and high performing teamsYou know how to execute and have demonstrated the ability to incrementally deliver on your team’s goals#LI-POSTAt Autodesk, we're building a diverse workplace and an inclusive culture to give more people the chance to imagine, design, and make a better world.
