Our designers use creative problem-solving skills to constantly challenge the team to think beyond the expected, and launch high-quality experiences our customers will love.Reporting to the Senior Manager of Experience Design for the Product Design and Manufacturing Solutions (PDMS), the Senior Visual Experience Designer will work on strategic initiatives which create cohesive, and scalable user experiences that can be responsive to form factors across platforms for PDMS products.The PDMS organization at Autodesk is tasked with building the world’s best design and manufacturing platform by serving the needs of professionals across the entire product development process, from initial concept ideation through to manufacturing. We do this by delivering innovations like automation and collaboration in a way that’s never been possible before. We’re disrupting the market with exciting new technologies and business models that unlock the potential of these capabilities for everyone.Prefer candidates in Portland, Oregon for hybrid/remote.For consideration, candidates must include both a resume + portfolio with a password when applying.ResponsibilitiesLead visual experience design initiatives and help set strategy by evaluating and identifying the intersection of business needs, customer needs, and technical opportunitiesPartner closely with the broader experience design team, design program management, and the platform engineering team in exploring, planning, verifying, and building solutions that scaleCreate Autodesk Design System-aligned, high-quality visual design deliverables, including hi-fidelity UI mockups, icons, illustrations, prototypes and visual assets for production, validation and testingAdvocate the Autodesk Design System, relentlessly apply the design standards to the product UI whenever possible, devote on keeping cohesive experience within/across products, with the mindset of scaling product-specific patterns to be able to contribute to the Autodesk Design SystemContribute to efforts of strengthening our platform-thinking and improving design processes that help drive the experience cohesionEngage as an active member of an exciting, diverse and global design communityMinimum Qualifications4+ years of related professional visual design experienceSolid understanding of design system and reusable UI componentsDemonstrated ability to visualize and prototype intended solutions at various levels of fidelity, from high-level wireframes or mock-ups to conceptual presentations to highly technical documents and diagramsProven experience as outstanding teammate, collaborator, and communicatorPreferred QualificationsExperience in interaction design (wireframing, flow diagramming, rapid prototyping, understanding of usability testing, etc.)Experience building a design system from scratch or contributing to an existing design systemExperience in web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.)Experience working in large and/or distributed organizationsExperience in motion design, animation design, etc.Experience with 3D graphicsKnowledge of Autodesk products or experience working in the architecture, engineering, construction, manufacturing, media, or entertainment industryCurrent knowledge of human centered design practicesClick below to learn more about our benefits in the US.https://benefits.autodesk.com/ At Autodesk, we're building a diverse workplace and an inclusive culture to give more people the chance to imagine, design, and make a better world. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $103,200 and $178,090. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
