Job Requisition ID #23WD68731Position OverviewThe Senior User Experience (UX) Researcher at Autodesk is a relentless customer advocate, possesses a passion for human-centered design, and has a track record of planning and executing highly impactful research with cross-functional teams. Our UX Researchers leverage a wide variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods and work in lockstep with their product, design, and business partners to envision, evaluate, and ship high-quality experiences our users will love.ResponsibilitiesPlan and execute customer research throughout the design and development lifecycle, from early strategic direction through post release evaluation   Employ a wide range of research methods, including generative design research and contextual inquiry, participatory design workshops, interviews, formative and summative usability studies, and quantitative methods, such as surveys and data analyticsCollect existing research and insights to inform research questions from around the company, including market and business intelligence, usage analytics and previous work by other UX ResearchersDevelop relationships across the company, understanding existing research and insights to inform your research projects and collaborate on end-to-end research that looks across the customer journeyLead empathy and design thinking workshops with cross functional teams to ensure that findings and insights are translated into actionable product goals and directionShare customer insights with the broader organization in creative ways to increase customer empathy, including posters, immersion rooms, blog posts and workshops     Participate in the research community at Autodesk to share and evangelize research findings, collaborate on projects to understand our customers' end to end journey and to promote research as a strategic driver for our products and servicesMinimum Qualifications3-5+ years of professional research experienceStrong track record of qualitative and quantitative results impacting product strategy and developmentUp-to-date toolkit of research methods, and the experience and savvy to know when to be lean and scrappy and when to be rigorousAbility to collaborate with a wide set of stakeholders including designers, product managers, and marketing teamsAbility to execute in a fast-paced, matrixed, and agile environmentExcellent communication skills, with the ability to distill complex ideas to their essenceBachelor’s or Master’s degree in cognitive or experimental psychology, human computer interaction, human factors, or related fieldPreferred Qualifications Experience working in the water industryExperience researching multichannel experiencesFamiliarity with Lean UX and Lean Research methodologiesExperience with agile software developmentExperience with Autodesk productsThe Ideal Candidate You have an inquisitive mind and empathy for customersYou’re a collaborator and enjoy bringing your team along with youYou’re a pattern finder and holistic thinkerYou’re an excellent communicatorYou don’t fear complexityAt Autodesk, we're building a diverse workplace and an inclusive culture to give more people the chance to imagine, design, and make a better world.
