Job Requisition ID #23WD68847Position OverviewThe Principal Content Experience Designer at Autodesk is responsible for crafting engaging content for our customers and effective product experiences that promote customer knowledge and skill development, as well as worldwide product adoption and retention. Content may include but is not limited to customer-facing online help, in-product learning, user interface content, and product messaging. This position represents the customer’s content experience needs working with internal stakeholders to help drive content roadmaps and overall customer experiences. The Content Designer collaborates across Autodesk to develop and maintain content standards to ensure high-quality, connected product experiences. We are looking for someone to help craft a personalized customer experience in Fusion360.  Content is a critical aspect of this personalized experience. This individual will help us ensure that the right recommendations, insights, and learning material are thoughtfully curated and presented to our customers at the right time and in the right manner. Responsibilities:Research, design, and develop content solutions resulting in an effective customer learning experience delivered as part of an integrated product experienceConduct technical reviews of content deliverables to ensure accuracy. In response to technical, editorial, and customer feedback, modify content as appropriate to correct errors, enhance clarity, and improve usabilityApply Autodesk and product voice standards and terminology efforts across products to improve usability and consistencyCollaborate with internal teams across disciplines on content planning and content strategy for learning sites and associated channels to align with business goals  Take the lead in developing content solutions and identifying opportunities for innovation Assume a project lead role. Manage projects and coordinate resources Lead collaboration efforts with other Autodesk teams to develop and enforce corporate learning strategies, content standards, globalization guidelines, and tools standardsAcquire and apply market research, product usage, customer interviews, and other metrics to content initiatives to drive priorities, and continual improvementWork collaboratively with content strategists and content architects to ensure compliance with the broader Autodesk visionPromote and support a community of practice for content designMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field, such as English, web design, communications, or journalism3+ years of experience of developing high-quality learning content for complex software applicationsA thorough understanding of how to explain complex and technical subject matter through written and video content, so that others can learn and understand concepts and instructionsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsKnowledge of using analytics and data to improve contentAbility to work independently and in a distributed, global team environmentAt ease working in an agile environment with rapidly changing deadlines, workloads, and goalsEagerness to learn, explore, and gain new experiencesAn entrepreneurial and innovative spiritPreferred QualificationsExperience with engineering, manufacturing, industrial design, or related systemsExperience with GitHub and markdown authoring, markup languages (such as HTML, XML or DITA XML) and content management systems (CMS)Knowledge of one or more Autodesk software products.
