Autodesk's Customers Platforms & Data group is seeking a passionate Senior software engineer to join a team of diverse, smart, and driven engineers who are responsible for building a consumption and metering platform to support consumption-based business models at Autodesk.This engineer will collaborate within a high-performing Scrum team where the code, infrastructure, and services you develop will have a direct, positive impact on millions of users of our products. This experience is key to our business and one of our top initiatives around transformation and customer experience.ResponsibilitiesExperience with delivering highly available, scalable, distributed systems and microservices in a production settingWork closely with architects and technical product managers to translate overall system architecture and product requirements into well-designed and implemented software componentsTake ownership of the implementation of individual software components, with a high emphasis on quality, test-driven development, and sound software engineering practicesParticipate in software design reviews, you conduct peer code reviews and provide input and feedback to other members of the development teamWrite unit, functional, regression tests for the code you create, and you contribute to the test automation, continuous integration, and deployment processes together with everyone else in the development teamCollaborate as a member of an agile team to get products and components developed and completed with best in class software developmentExcellent technical problem-solving skills and aptitude to learn new technologies and methodologiesLow tolerance for inefficiency and the burning desire to automate anything that can be automatedCreative, collaborative, and product-focusedA real passion for making simple, robust, and scalable platforms used by other engineering teamsMinimum QualificationBS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field1+ years of software engineering experienceExperience with JavaBroad knowledge of AWS, server programming, databases, and cloud architecturesWork on development and deployment of system features and QA automation frameworkExperience working with container frameworks (Docker) or CD frameworksExperience with microservices and RESTful web servicesExperience developing/designing performant middleware componentsExceptional debugging, testing, and problem-solving skillsSelf-starter, with a quick learning curveTeam-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skillsTechnology stack: Java/Spring, AWSExperience with Jenkins, GitHub, and ArtifactoryPreferred QualificationsExperience working in an Agile/Scrum environmentExperience with Node.js and java scriptClick below to learn more about our benefits in the US.https://benefits.autodesk.com/ At Autodesk, we're building a diverse workplace and an inclusive culture to give more people the chance to imagine, design, and make a better world. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $90,700 and $156,530. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
