Autodesk's Ecommerce Engineering team is looking for a talented Lead Frontend engineer who is passionate about building and delivering innovative solutions into our common platform.As part of the Ecommerce Engineering team, you will be implementing exciting new features that engage and influence Autodesk customers worldwide. Our team faces a variety of unique and interesting challenges, from creating new tools and components, implementing critical services, creating new and engaging end-user experiences, to digging into low-level performance details and streamlining processes.As an ideal candidate, you have working on teams developing modern cloud-based services, in a fast-paced, agile environment. You know how to build and guide highly effective and high-performing teams, while inspiring them to remain at the cutting edge.ResponsibilitiesDesign, code, test, debug, and document new and existing components to ensure that software meets business, quality and operational needsBuild high quality code following unit testing and test-driven developmentDrive and participate in code and document reviews, mentoring team in best practicesCollaborate with peer organizations, DevOps, Support organizations on technical issues and provide guidanceInterpret and translate business needs to technical requirements and accurate estimatesEvaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure the highest quality and performance is achievedWork with team to troubleshoot code level problems quickly and efficientlyApply deep technical expertise to resolve challenging programming and design problemsContribute to the design and architecture to enable secure, scalable, and maintainable softwareContribute to technical roadmap and technical debt elimination, balancing time, resource, and quality constraints to achieve business and strategic goals and requirementsMinimum QualificationsReact Expert: You are an expert in modern front-end development using React, with deep knowledge of topics such as TypeScript, Redux, GraphQL, component architecture, Storybook, Jest, Cypress, etc.Strong practical experience building Micro-services and Micro front-end8+ years hands-on experience developing scalable, customer facing applicationsDeep understanding of modern web applications design architecture, good API design patterns, performance, and scale, driving quality bar cross-functionallyDemonstrated technical leadership experience, such as being an architect or tech lead for high impact customer facing projects, comfortable defining technical solutionBS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experiencePreferred QualificationsExperience with Amazon Web Services Strive for efficient and practical solutions Strong verbal and written communication skillsThe Ideal CandidateEnjoys designing & implementing highly scalable and highly available customer facing systemsWrites clean, testable, effective code and help others do it too - our language of choice is React Js and Node Js.Has solid knowledge of popular JS frameworks and libraries (NodeJS, Express, SAM, React, Angular etc.)Holds themselves and others to high technical standards (design, architecture, and implementation)Is passionate about learning new technologies and solving business problems using these technologiesClick below to learn more about our benefits in the US.https://benefits.autodesk.com/ At Autodesk, we're building a diverse workplace and an inclusive culture to give more people the chance to imagine, design, and make a better world. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $109,400 and $188,760. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
