Job Requisition ID #23WD68781Position Overview In this role you will provide day-to-day legal support to Autodesk Platform Services (APS). You will partner with leaders and teams to execute Autodesk’s platform strategy to create and deliver cloud infrastructure and services, developer tools, programs and marketplace for customers, developers and other participants in Autodesk’s platform ecosystem.Location: San Francisco, CA- United StatesResponsibilitiesServe as the designated legal business partner (LBP) to APS leaders and their teams, while also executing on initiatives and transactions across APSParticipate as a proactive business partner to leaders and teams and build a trusted advisor relationship. Engage with team members at all levels, including executives, product and program management, software engineers and business strategyPartner with cross-functional stakeholders across the company on strategic initiativesLearn and advise on the legal implications of new technologies, such as AI and ML, AR/VR, new business models, new strategies, and the ever-changing landscape of cloud services and infrastructureContribute to developing and implementing programs for policy and process improvements to enable teams to move faster and smarterAdvise on adherence to Autodesk corporate policiesDevelop and present training materialsSupport design, development and release of offerings by identifying and driving resolution of issues related to intellectual property, privacy, data security, data use, confidentiality, marketing, competition, regionalization, strategic partnerships and risk managementDraft, review and negotiate a variety of agreements critical to Autodesk’s platform strategy, including those relating to cloud service offerings, inbound licensing and SaaS services, developer programs, Autodesk open-source projects, Autodesk App Store/marketplace and technology and strategic partnershipsMinimum QualificationsJD degree from ABA accredited university and member in good standing of the California BarMinimum of 6 years’ experience providing legal support to software and cloud service businesses at both a law firm and corporate legal departmentExcellent negotiation and drafting skills and experience negotiating complex technology transactionsProduct counseling experiencePractical and flexible; ability to handle ambiguity, juggle many matters at once, prioritize and shift from one situation to anotherExplains complex issues in an understandable, straightforward, and engaging way tailored to the audience, while being persuasive when neededAbility to assess and mitigate risk in a way that is business enablingGood sense of humor!The Ideal CandidateTechnology savvy and interest; some experience working with cloud platforms and infrastructure, cloud applications, and outsourced cloud servicesSkilled at the application of laws and regulations in areas of new technologyExpertise in intellectual property, privacy, technology transactions, and general commercial mattersExcellent communicator (including listening), who works well with software engineers and architects, senior leaders, business partners and legal colleaguesCollaborative team player who thrives on finding solutions in a dynamic work environment and is biased toward simplification, scalability, and actionPrior in-house experience with a born in the cloud company is highly desirableClick below to learn more about our benefits in the US.https://benefits.autodesk.com/ At Autodesk, we're building a diverse workplace and an inclusive culture to give more people the chance to imagine, design, and make a better world. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $159,600 and $258,170. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
