Job Requisition ID #23WD69307Position Overview Autodesk is seeking a Software Development Manager with experience in agile software development practices to participate in and manage a cross-functional scrum team focused on extending and enhancing software such as Autodesk Revit as well as in cloud services, in the area of BIM-Centric Structural Analysis.  The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the agile “servant-leader” role, will be able to balance acting as the manager with encouraging the team towards a culture of self-organization and ownership of the work and processes, and will coach, inspire and empower the team to solve customer problems in the business strategic context.With the time that is not spent on direct management responsibilities, you should be able to help the teams deliver working software in other ways, e.g. by contributing to the agile processes or by testing, designing or developing software depending on your skillset.   If you are flexible, courageous, collaborative, and a great decision maker, we would love to hear from you!ResponsibilitiesSupport, encourage and assist the members of an agile teamRecruit and hire new team members as necessaryIdentify opportunities for individuals to grow within their role, including opportunities for training, challenging assignments, and new collaborationCreate an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture that values continuous improvement and iterationEstablish team goals that connect to the wider organization goals; monitor progress against themWork with the product owner to help the teams discover and deliver working software every sprint and release valuable and useful capabilities at regular intervalsMinimum Qualifications10+ years of experience working on software development teams5+ years of formal or informal leadership experience – we’d like to see that you can inspire and influence others, even if it was not in an official manager roleAbility to operate effectively and independently in a dynamic, fluid environmentExcellent communication skillsBS, MS or PhD – Engineering or Computer Science is a typical qualification, but we’d be open to folks who took other paths to the world of software engineering#LI-AC1At Autodesk, we're building a diverse workplace and an inclusive culture to give more people the chance to imagine, design, and make a better world.
