Autodesk's Customer Platform and Data group is seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our team of diverse, smart, and driven engineers who are responsible for building the User Management and Access platform. Our platform is at the forefront of the company’s strategic investment and has tremendous visibility and impact across Autodesk. As a senior engineer you will collaborate within a high performing Scrum team where the code and services you develop will have a direct, positive impact to the users of our products. You'll be building cloud based micro-services and frontends that power events and data integrations used to support User Management and Product Access for our valued customers. The services and applications we build, own and support are business critical, tier-1 systems that must be highly available with low latency, to provide our customers with seamless and intuitive access to manage their users. This experience is key to our business and one of our top initiatives around transformation and customer experience.Responsibilities Build scalable, available, resilient, secure micro-services and customer-facing applications on AWS CloudWrite code that is high-quality, performant, sustainable and testable while holding yourself accountable for the quality of the code you produceWork in a CI/CD Cloud environment, considering the implementation of functionality through several distributed components and servicesAssist in the operation of our production systems and ensure operational aspects are taken into account in the day-to-day engineering workMonitor metrics and identify ways to improve telemetry gathering, reporting, and alertingCollaborate inside and outside the team. You enjoy working closely with others – learning and helping others by sharing expertise and encouraging best practices and high technical standardsMinimum QualificationsBS degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experienceA strong background in fostering a culture of continuous delivery, automation and agile developmentA deep understanding of the value of testing to deliver high-quality codeExtensive experience working in production with AWS Cloud Services (e.g., S3, SNS, SQS, API Gateway) and Serverless Lambda infrastructureProficiency with the design, implementation, deployment and operation of scalable API services (REST, GraphQL)Expertise in full-stack development ideally using JavaScript based technologies such as Node.jsExperience working with event-driven architectureExperience working with relational databases and/or NoSQL (e.g., AWS Aurora, DynamoDB, Cassandra)Familiarity with caching technologies (e.g., Redis, Memcached)Experience with building observability into services and infrastructure (e.g., CloudWatch, Splunk, Grafana, OpenTelemetry)Experience with CI/CD practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Spinnaker, Docker)Understanding of common authentication/authorization methodologies and protocolsStrong communication and collaboration skills - you are pragmatic and know how to build trustInterest in working with geographically diverse teams – we have peers in the US, South America, Europe and Asia#LI-KJ1Click below to learn more about our benefits in the US.https://benefits.autodesk.com/ At Autodesk, we're building a diverse workplace and an inclusive culture to give more people the chance to imagine, design, and make a better world. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $109,400 and $188,760. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
