They provide technical expertise in evaluating, designing, developing, deploying, monitoring, testing, and supporting systems and procedures that are cost-effective and improve work efficiency. Additionally, the software development engineer partners with enterprise and solution architects to ensure that the application meets company service level standards and roadmap requirements. The software development engineer is embedded within an agile team and is able to quickly adapt to shifting business priorities.This F5 team has a number of capabilities that we support, including being a critical part of the ability of F5 to license and deliver their products to customers, as well as large volumes of product data. We provide business logic, and data feeds to a number of other teams at F5, and the majority of the work is centered around RESTful JSON based APIs running in a big 3 cloud platform, implemented as serverless functions.We work in a geographically dispersed model but keep team members within similar time zones in order to facilitate communication and collaboration.Our current services are primarily based in TypeScript, but other languages and technologies may utilized for the testing and deployment and support. We work in a modern agile fashion, and our services are hosted completely in the cloud, and deployed via automated pipelines.The team owns these services from the design, implementation, testing, and deployment to fielding customer issues and providing production support.
