And it means we prioritize a diverse F5 community where each individual can thrive.Position SummaryThe software development engineer II (SDET II) will work with an inquisitive, growth-oriented team to extend and support a large, highly tailored Oracle CPQ instance. This team-oriented position will provide manual and automated testing execution, develop test automation and repeatable test procedures, while implementing and supporting TS Test practices.Primary Responsibilities Test Automation/Tool Development Contribute user stories to automated test development backlog using existing manual test scripts, project requirements, support tickets and on request from TS technical staff.Develop, schedule and execute automated test cases as prioritized using team-selected tools.Create and maintain the test automation framework as per the product needs that supports integration, scheduled regression and on-request execution of tests.Participate in the planning for and develop the tools/systems needed to make test automation execution and reporting accessible to TS staff.Project / Release Quality AssuranceProvide testing support to projects and product releases both with automated tests, and manual testing as requiredWork closely with developers, analysts, and system administrators as Test Engineering SME to model and foster the implementation of TS Test Engineering into projects and production support. Coordinate with the vendors who provide / support various testing resources & servicesReport findings, log defects and ensure an appropriate disposition for eachMaintain test automation application(s) (sustaining engineering)Coordinate and participate in End-to-End testing as needed by the Agile Release TrainKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Demonstrated expertise in creating automation frameworks and thorough understanding of all the automation conceptsDemonstrated ability in developing new automation tools based on the business/ customer needsAbility to partner with different development and business teams in different geographiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong time management and organizational skillsAbility to provide exceptional support to both internal and external customersAbility to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced, changing environmentExcellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skillsStrong knowledge of continuous integration; build and deploy automation tools desirableQualificationsBachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or equivalent experience3+ years of experience in all phases of testing with heavy exposure to automationProficient in at least in 2 test automation tools, including but not limited to Oracle OATS, Selenium, UFT, SOA test, JMeter, Soap UI) requiredExperience with test management tools like ADO, ALM required.Experience with databases and good SQL skills preferredExperience with testing of data-driven and event-driven architectures requiredAdvanced Java development skills desirablePhysical Demands and Work Environment Duties are performed in a normal office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table. Duties require the ability to utilize a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material.Duties may require being on call periodically and working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends).Duties may require the ability to travel via automobile or airplane, approximately 5% of the time spent traveling.The Job Description is intended to be a general representation of the responsibilities and requirements of the job.
