The candidate should have working knowledge of standard IT processes (ITIL) as well as an understanding of the technical and business implications of IT.They will be responsible for ongoing support and maintenance of the IT environment in our Warsaw office locations.They will provide independent and comprehensive IT support for the F5 region/Offices including production datacenters/systems, voice and data networks and equipment, PCs and workstations, and test/development lab infrastructure. The candidate will coordinate extensively with Seattle IT team to ensure consistency of operations and end user support procedures.In addition to technical skills, they should be comfortable interacting outside of the IT department with the business. They should have a high degree of business proficiency, professional maturity, and poise.Primary Responsibilities:  Operations: Deploy, maintain, and execute procedures for highly effective and reliable site IT operations. Will provide direct support to product development and various support teams. Utilize appropriate tools and utilities to facilitate operations monitoring. Administer operations applications, e.g., backups, system monitoring, logging. Initiate action to ensure problems and potential error conditions are promptly and appropriately addressed.Network: Deploy and maintain site network infrastructure to ensure performance and reliability for local LANs, Internet, and corporate WAN connectivity.PCs/Desktops: Work directly with end users on a wide range of desktop support issuesCommunication: Ensure ongoing communications with regional employees and managers as well as Seattle IT management and staff regarding issues and activities relating to systems operations.Telecomm: Provide first-level support for telephone operations both desk and mobile, including local vendor coordination as needed for adds/moves/changes and system maintenance.Documentation: Establish & maintain procedures to ensure up-to-date configuration documentation is maintained for production hardware, software, and networks. Document and maintain installation standards & practices. Maintain daily activity, task, and system status information for standard reporting systems & processes.Equipment: Maintain computer hardware; ensure cleanliness and organization in equipment rooms; verify all equipment and cabling is properly installed for safety, reliability and neatness.Physical Plant: Ensure reliable operation of electrical, HVAC, fire protection, etc. systems supporting site IT operations.Maintain accurate and updated IT Asset Management inventory. Work with ITAM team in Seattle to produce asset reports and verify inventory regularly.Vendors: Evaluate and select products & vendors to provide goods & services related to site systems operations. Manage ongoing vendor relationships to ensure adequate support at all locations.Mentoring: Mentor the local IT desktop support individual to a high standard.Coordinate extensively with Seattle and EMEA IT teams to ensure consistency of operations and end user support procedures.IT Projects: Oversee all relevant IT projects locally, take ownership where appropriate, liaise/work with Seattle IT and other EMEA based teams where required.Other Responsibilities:Responsible for upholding F5’s Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies.Performs other related duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Intermediate to advanced Windows 10/11 skillsIntermediate to advanced 0365 experiences desired.Intermediate to advanced Mac OS X in the enterprise desired.  Windows server skills.Intermediate-level to advanced network engineering skills (switches, routers, BIG-IPs).Demonstrated understanding of the OSI networking model.Effective time management and ability to organize and prioritize tasks.Demonstrated ability to work under pressure.Hands-on experience with telecommunications equipment (phones, PBXes) as well as Conference room equipment and smart phones.Knowledge of physical plant requirements related to IT/datacenter operations.Experience working with SN, SLA's/KPI's.Ability to work on your own as well as in a team and get along with all different types of people.Attention to detail and able to follow processes.Can do, ownership attitude with the ability to use your own initiative.Capably setup, configure, and troubleshoot PCs, network devices, server equipment, and operating systems. Qualifications:College degree in a computer discipline, or equivalent applicable experience. Technical certifications highly desirable.Current certifications in networking technology any current manufacturer of networking equipmentSignificant experience working with IT infrastructure, operations, and PCsSolid written & verbal communications; fluency in English language.Excellent interpersonal, planning, documentation, organization, and problem-solving skills.Ability to act independently and engage internal & external personnel/services to ensure reliable system operations.Customer service ethic; ability to work directly with end users to help them use computers and solve their problems.High degree of accuracy and attention to detail in working with production systems is critical.3 – 5 years of staff management/supervisory experience.Physical Demands and Work Environment:  Duties are performed in a normal office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table.  Duties require the ability to utilize a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material.Duties may require being on call periodically and working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends).Duties may require the ability to travel via automobile or airplane, approximately 10% of the time spent traveling.F5 Networks, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and strongly supports diversity in the workplace.#LI-AP2​​​The Job Description is intended to be a general representation of the responsibilities and requirements of the job.
