We understand that your life is about more than just work, so we’re committed to a culture that supports your whole life.What will you do?The Software Engineer II provides software development support by analyzing business requirements to design and develop appropriate systems solutions according to specifications and maintain a Core Data Management (CDM a.k.a Master Data Management), reporting metadata, and ETL jobs using Informatica and Snowflake Data Cloud platforms preferably. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to building of F5’s modern data platform and the Enterprise Data Ecosystem. Additionally, the software development engineer partners with enterprise and solution architects to ensure that the application meets company service level standards and roadmap requirements. The software development engineer is embedded within an agile team and can quickly adapt to shifting business priorities.Your primary responsibilities will include:Experience working with data ensuring the ethical and compliant use with global privacy regulations.Strong SQL experienceExperience developing on Oracle and SQL Server databases.Experience in Snowflake cloud data platform and\or Azure Data FactoryExperience with one or more scripting languages: Python, Perl, Bash, JavaExperience loading data into databases from databases, file, JSON, and XMLExperience with multiple business data domains (accounting, finance, sales, support, manufacturing, product development)Knowledge on CDM domain is good to have.Working with various reporting platforms like OBIEE/Tableau.What do you need to be successful in this role?Adept at translating functional requirements into technical solutions.Understands business processes and relationship of systems and applications.Ability to self-motivate, set goals, prioritize, and meet deadlines.Analyze end user needs and design, develop and unit test software to satisfy demand.Contribute to design and coding standards to ensure consistency across applications.Partner with site reliability engineers to ensure successful deployment of solutions.Demonstrates excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.Demonstrates strong time management and organizational skills.Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills.What will we look for on your resume?Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Mathematics or equivalent combination of education and experience required.3 or more years of industry experience with BI ETL tools – Informatica, SSIS3 or more years of industry experience in writing and interpreting SQL queries.1 or more years of industry experience designing CDM (a.k.a MDM) solutions preferrable using Informatica platform3 or more years of industry experience with cloud platforms Snowflake and\or Azure Data FactoryFluency and real-life applications of Kimball data modeling methodologyExperience with Agile or Scrum is desired.Knowledge on OBIEE /Tableau reporting environment is good to have.F5 Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and strongly supports diversity in the workplace.The Job Description is intended to be a general representation of the responsibilities and requirements of the job.
