As a Sr Engineer you will contribute to the development, design, and implementation of F5's BIG-IQ Central Manager products. We are building next generation APIs to manage thousands of BIG-IP Next deployments and enable our customers to manage applications delivery and infrastructure across all the data centers and cloud environments. Primary Responsibilities Contribute to the design and implementation of major components for complex software products Own both the development, integration, and functional test automation for the assigned features Constantly strive for increasing performance and scalability of the product by diagnosing and fixing such issues Solve complex problems and attitude of transcending new/classic technology preferences in favor of finding right solutions for our customers Evaluate and craft the implementation of current source code Document software designs via functional specifications and other design documents Collaborate with team members and technical leads Stay up to date with modern technologies, understand trends and opportunities to select appropriate solution & techniques Serve as a source of technical expertise to a team and is a mentor for junior staff members Proactively identify and resolving key technical issues Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Solve complex problems and attitude of transcending new/classic technology preferences in favor of finding right solutions for our customers Development experience of microservices and working knowledge of Kubernetes and Dockers Strong relational database experience (PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, DB2 or similar) Test automation with Cypress, Selenium, or similar technologies Extensive experience with REST APIs and data formats such as JSON, XML Experience building and deploying within CI/CD environment and tools (Git, Gitlab, Jira, Bugzilla, etc.) Experience in frontend development (ReactJS, AngularJS) or similar is a plus Familiarity within cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud as a plus Qualifications 5+ years’ experience backend development in at least one of these languages (Go, Java or similar) and REST API designs. 2+ years’ experience with frontend development and associated frameworks preferred 8+ years' professional development experience 3+ years of development experience in kubernetes preferredBS/BA or MS in Computer Science/related field or equivalent work experience.#LI-RGB1, #LI-RemoteThe Job Description is intended to be a general representation of the responsibilities and requirements of the job.
