This position is remote-friendly.Position Overview:As the Salesforce Technical Architect/Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for building and managing a team of global Salesforce Developers, Technical Solution Architects and QA Engineers globally, to designing project solutions across many different clouds on the Salesforce platform (e.g. Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, CPQ, App Cloud etc.).  As the Salesforce Dev Mgr, you will have an expert understanding of Salesforce.com standard applications, web application development, Salesforce integration, and tools such as the Salesforce APIs, Apex, Lightning and the AppExchange that are used to extend the standard product set. You must be able to operate in client facing environments where you will lead technical architecture workshops with Executives, technical leadership, and other stakeholders from client teams. You will lead technical requirements gathering sessions and write technical requirements documents while also managing a team of Salesforce Technical Architects, Leads, Developers and QA engineers to execute each project at our high-quality standards across many different projects. The perfect candidate has a solid business understanding and can translate business processes and workflows into technical use cases. You will lead multiple Salesforce Developers, Architects and QA engineers as a servant leader and player coach to lead and help to develop the technical strategies anchored in that what we deliver meets the needs of our internal and external customers.Primary Responsibilities: In this role, you will manage onshore and offshore development teams responsible for the development of all things associated with the Salesforce platformLead a team of Salesforce developers, technical architects and technical leads in complex custom developments of entire applications using Apex and LWCWork with the team to complete solution design, timeline estimation, and Backlog Grooming MeetingsEngage with Tech lead and/or lead code reviews to ensure best practice coding processesCollaborate with the Product Owner to plan and execute projects, ensure that development teams have the appropriate functional and technical specifications, direction, and resources to deliver projects effectivelyHelp formulate and communicate the complete product vision in coordination with product management, architects, engineers and vendors to realize comprehensive, enterprise quality solutionsIdentify and manage project risks and communicate to all stakeholdersInteract with Business stakeholders, BSA, Product Owners and team leads to refine requirements; work efficiently in a cross-functional team across multiple projectsAnalyze, evaluate and propose technologies to efficiently address product requirements in the software designIdentify any application/code security issues and recommend solutions to resolve themProvide leadership and guidance to coach and inspire team members to their optimum performance and career growthHold the development team accountable for quality of code, achieving committed work within a sprint or by project deadlinesCoordinate release and sprint planning with Release Manager and Operations ManagerPartner with operations staff and QA staff to develop testing and monitoring strategies and resolve defects and customer-reported issuesWork with QA to define automation and testing strategy and ensure high quality deliverablesProvide ad-hoc reporting and decision support required for management decision processesDefine, refine & execute full lifecycle software development to fit the team's requirementUnderstand how the SDLC needs to work to support using standard configuration, Apex, VisualForce, LWC, API's and managed package applicationsResponsible for all aspects of managing people: recruiting, scheduling, delegating duties, interviewing and terminating members of the team while following HR guidelinesAdhere to all SOX 404, CCPA, GDPR, company ITGC compliance and standards including but not limited to quarterly audits with internal and external auditorsQualifications: Bachelor's degree or Masters in Computer Science or equivalent backgroundMinimum of 8 years of experience with technical implementation of CRM projects, with at least 5 years of experience in Salesforce.com implementationsMinimum of 5+ years of experience as a Technical Manager managing a team of more than 5 people in a matrix environmentIn-depth understanding of the capabilities and constraints of the SFDC CRM application, coupled with a good understanding of business processes (Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, etc.)Solid knowledge and experience in Object Oriented Design and Programming techniquesExpertise in Apex development, including in Trigger Frameworks, TDTM, and governor limitsSignificant experience with Model View Controller, LWC, Custom APIs, Web Services, Rest APIs, Flow, Platform events, and Version ControlExtensive experience with Salesforce SalesCloud, Service Cloud and CPQExperience with tools such as JIRA/Confluence, Copado, GIT, Gearset, etcExpert in all facets of agile Software Development Life CycleAdvanced Salesforce.com user and administrator skills (including using permission sets, roles, profiles, groups, security setup, views, and page layouts)Advanced Salesforce Certifications highly desirable – Platform Dev I, Dev II, Architect, etc.Salesforce.com 201 and 401 certifications highly desirableSelf-directed, willingness to take initiative, make decisions and resolve issuesExcellent verbal and written communication skills are a mustEnergetic team player and analytical problem solver who is passionate about delivering complex, quality solutions on timeWorks well with others, readily adapts to change, and enjoys rapid development,Committed to deliver on time according to requirements and business needsCompensation:Alteryx is committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as your relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location. The salary range for this role in Southern California, Colorado, Washington, and Rhode Island is $118,700 - $201,800.The salary range for this role in New York City and Northern California is $129,500 - $220,200.In addition, you may be eligible for additional compensation, such as a bonus and stock grants. Employees may also be eligible for a wide range of other benefits, including medical, retirement, financial, wellness, time off, employee discounts, and others.Interested?
