You know that success hinges on commitment, that our differences make us stronger, and that the finish line is always sweeter when the whole team crosses together.The Director of Strategic Sourcing will lead and develop our global sourcing department including bringing best in class strategic sourcing practices to the function.  As the leader for the strategic sourcing department, you will represent a strategic partner to all of our business leaders to help the organization drive value and optimize cost savings across all commodities within the organization.  This leader will also partner closely with our procurement systems and operational processes to ensure that a streamlined process and exceptional user experience for the business from source to pay.  As an analytics organization we value leaders who will come with an analytical mindset to understand the data and drive optimization through data analytics and understanding and measuring key strategic imperatives including costs savings and optimization.   Key ResponsibilitiesLead and scale the global indirect strategic sourcing organization by building strategic partnerships with internal and external constituents to drive vendor selection, supplier evaluation, the bidding process and contract negotiations.Establish and manage meaningful strategic supplier relationships.Monitor and strengthen our purchasing policies with input from key stakeholders including internal audit and finance. Drive key strategic sourcing objectives such as hard savings and cost avoidance, and other value-add to the business and measure this performance against established KPIs.Build and monitor KPI’s around savings performance of the department and ensure accountability over those metrics for your direct reports.Partner with our legal department and info sec department to ensure vendors and vendor contracts adhere to our corporate standards and we optimize the relationship with our vendors while also mitigating supplier risk. Perform and develop data analytics that can assist the team and business partners to assess buying patterns and areas of potential cost savings.Motivate and develop a high functioning strategic sourcing team.Partner and collaborate with FP&A on budgets and spend goals.Advance automation efforts to improve upon user experience, efficiencies and accuracy of reporting and data.Continue to improve upon internal SLA commitments with our business partners.Manage ad-hoc projects including, but not limited to, global expansion and rollouts and M&A activity.Qualifications/ExperienceBachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or a related discipline.Minimum of 12 years procurement management experience in large, public, global organization growing at scale.Global expansion experience and experience sourcing in international regions.Experience evaluating, implementing, improving and scaling business systems for procurement.Strong communication and customer service skills and experience partnering in a global cross-departmental role.Working experience of procurement technologies such as NetSuite, Oracle, ServiceNow, or similar solutions. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on understanding metrics/analytical data.Hands on leader, with a focus on continuous developmentLeading, coaching, developing and motivating a global team – Setting team goals, measuring success and communicating achievements. Superior organization and project management skills demonstrated by the ability to prioritize multiple projects and drive towards deadlines and results.Change management experience and ability to facilitate change Experience within Technology or SaaS industries preferredPay TransparencyAlteryx is committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as your relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location. The salary range for this role in Colorado, Southern California and Rhode Island is $154,200-$231,200.The salary range for this role in New York City and Northern California is $168,100-$269,900. In addition, you may be eligible for additional compensation, such as a bonus and stock grants.
