Illumina has multiple Senior Level C# Software Engineer openings at the moment.Position Summary:We are looking for a talented software engineer to join our Software & Informatics development team. Responsibilities:Design and develop world-class software for DNA sequencing devices, cloud-based genomics services, bioinformatics platforms, clinical applications, and/or lab automation.Ensure software architecture aligns with user needs to bring high-value products to marketComfortable working in an Agile team environmentLead investigation and resolution of technical problems within the departmentDrive awareness of industry trends and evaluate the applicability of new software technologies to the latest Sequencing platformsFoster innovation at a department level and contributes ideas to software road mappingRequirements:5+ years' of development experience in C#/.net Experience designing and implementing software quality patterns and practices (continuous integration, static analysis, unit testing, integrated testing)Understanding of SOA, software security architecture, REST APIs, and other architectural patternsProficient with source control management repositories (such as GIT, SVN, etc.) and CM practicesUnderstanding of object-oriented analysis and designProven ability to self-manage, as well as manage interdisciplinary relationshipsDemonstrated success in collaborating in a fast-paced team environment and delivering high-quality software products using established agile development methodologies (such as Scrum, Kanban, etc.) against formal schedulesDesired:Experience with user interface developmentPossess proven troubleshooting skillsBe curious, detail oriented, and analytical, with a proven ability to learn quicklyBe customer-focused, team-oriented, and motivated, taking ownership of assigned tasksHave proven verbal and written communication skillsExperience/Education:Typically requires a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or related field; 5+ years of experience depending on highest degree and roleThe estimated base salary range for the Senior Software Engineer - C# role based in the United States of America is: $65,800 - $98,600. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable salary range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
