Key Skills and ResponsibilitiesWorking alongside writers and copy editors, develop executive-level visual communications and presentations that inform and inspire internal & external target stakeholders.Work in close collaboration with Brand Marketing to ensure consistency and innovation are present in all elements of our evolving brand expression across platforms.Be at the forefront of innovative, highly engaging multi-media trends that can be leveraged across CEO and Corporate owned channels.Backed by data, make recommendations on adjustments in visual storytelling strategies and tactics to help advance the Illumina brand and position the CEO as an innovative, engaging thought leader.Serve as lead visual designer on presentations in support of all CEO communications, aligning with company brand standards and industry best practices. Oversee end-to-end creation of CEO videos, audio clips, and motion graphics in support of live presentations and social media.On behalf of CEO Communications team, serve as primary point of contact to in- house AV team and agency partners to support in-person and hybrid events.Champion diversity, equity and inclusion principles when designing visual content, and collaborate with Corporate Communications and Marketing teams to maintain cohesive visual look and feel of initiative communications.Be comfortable flexing between independent work and highly collaborative working sessions.Competencies/SkillsHighly skilled in the development of engaging, visually appealing presentation materialsDeep knowledge of graphic design, video production, audio production, and motion graphics development and usage in a corporate environment.Strong creative skills and technical design/development capabilities for multi-media communications.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to advise and support senior level executives. Experience working with C-suite level executives a plus.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Power Point, Keynote and Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).Audio, video and motion graphics production experience is a plus.Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, other MS Office programs.Required Work Experience5+ years of visual design and/or corporate communications experience (biotech or healthcare industry experience preferred but not necessary)Strong track record of delivering impactful multi-media and tailoring/targeting communications for different platforms and audiencesTechnical Skills Desired: Adobe CC (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat), Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and ExcelEducation - Bachelor’s degree in marketing communications-related discipline and/or equivalent work experience in design and corporate communications.The estimated base salary range for the Executive Communications Senior Designer role based in the United States of America is: $136,100 - $204,100. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable salary range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
