Surrounded by extraordinary people, inspiring leaders, and world changing projects, you will do more and become more than you ever thought possible.Co-work with manufacturing engineers, supervisors, and other domain experts to develop analytical solutions to draw intelligence and actionable insights from data to improve the efficiency and productivity of manufacturing site operations.Tasks and Responsibilities:Gather user requirements from manufacturing and engineering teams for new projects and initiativesWork in interdisciplinary teams that combine technical, business and data science competenciesExtract, analyze and mine large datasets from various databases and data sources to identify data patterns and trendsDesign and implement innovative analytical solutions using advanced statistical and machine learning techniquesPresent statistically sound model validations to justify model selection and performanceFormat and communicate results, using textual, numerical, graphical, and other visualization methods appropriate to the target audienceCreate and maintain documents for all projectsAll listed tasks and responsibilities are deemed as essential functions to this position; however, business conditions may require reasonable accommodations for additional tasks and responsibilities.Position Requirements:Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related fields; or relevant education and years of working experiencesMinimum 2 - 3 years of data analytics experience with strong statistical modelling and machine learning skillsProficient in one or more programming languages (e.g. Python, C#, etc.)Good experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Highcharts etc.)Demonstrated experience working with databases and data warehouse structuresDemonstrated track record of success in delivering advanced analytics capabilitiesCapable of working easily with business and product users to explain technical concepts in simple termsTeam player with good interpersonal and communication skillsIndependent and self-motivatedIllumina believes that everyone has the ability to make an impact, and we are proud to be an equal opportunity employer committed to providing employment opportunity regardless of sex, race, creed, color, gender, religion, marital status, domestic partner status, age, national origin or ancestry, physical or mental disability, medical condition, sexual orientation, pregnancy, military or veteran status, citizenship status, and genetic information.
