The team also provides Illumina Certified Service Partners guidance to ensure district benchtop compliance success.Responsibilities:• Independently performs planned maintenance, modifications, installations, and repairs of automation and sequencing instrumentation as part of a national team. • Escalate complicated repairs, work with a team, and follow escalation guidelines to ensure timely instrument repairs.• Monitor, schedule, and prioritize tasks to maximize customer satisfaction.• Manage tools and inventory.• Establish and strengthen customer and internal relationships• Ability and willingness to mentor new team membersRequirements: • 1-2 years of relevant experience• Willing to travel up to 70%• Must be self-motivated and have strong problem-solving abilities.• Strong planning, scheduling, and prioritization skills• Must be able to work independently and as a part of a close-knit team.• Must be flexible in working hours as this position may require customer support during non-regular business hours.• Troubleshooting experience and technical knowledge of computer hardware, Windows OS, and networking are a plusPreferred Educational Background: · BS in Electrical, Mechanical, or Biomedical Engineering · BS in Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Biology, or scientific fields coupled with mechanical aptitude or military equivalent. Automation / Liquid Handling knowledge is a plus.The estimated base salary range for the Field Service Engineer 1 - Boston role based in the United States of America is: $60,500 - $90,700. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable salary range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
